>>Well, any family life for a start. Or life outside of Rory.
Please! It's not like she clings to Rory hopelessly. She goes and does stuff on her own. Having a husband =/= defined by husband. (grouch face) Sounds like the interviewer has issues with Moff's storytelling, but I like his answers.
Alan Sepinwall interviewed him around ComicCon time, apparently, and has been holding on to it to post nearer the broadcast date. AREN'T WE NEAR ENOUGH YET, ALAN? HUH? HUH? IT'S ON SATURDAY!!!
*hem* I have been wanting this interview rather badly. I suspect it shall be very good.
Yeah, this pretty much. And I really take umbrage with people who claim that Rory is only defined by his relationship with Amy, that he's nothing but a loser hanger-on. I disagree. Yeah, his relationship is a large part of his character, but it's not all of it. I'll argue til I'm blue in the face that he's one of the more well-rounded, richly characterized companions the show has ever had.
TOTES AGREED. Rory is probably my favourite male companion evar. I could rant at length about his character arc and how great it is and how he defies gender stereotypes like Amy and River do [as a former nurse, it pleases me so much that he doesn't fall into the ultra frustrating stereotypes male nurses on tv often do]
It wouldn't suprise me if some of them were the same people. Along with the usual "we need to bring RTD back". Which- don't get me wrong- RTD brought DW back, and I loved both Nine and.. bits of Ten.

I agree that the Moff's answers are excellent.

This makes me want to rec you a fanvid that I came across from someone's rec: When I Was A Boy.
It's pretty much become one of the permanent reasons I cannot wrap my head around the idea that some people have of Series 5 being heteronormative.

Are these the same hilarious people who think Moffat "doesn't do characterization"?
