Alan Sepinwall interviewed Matt at the BBC America offices whilst the team were over in NYC. Matt has a terribly hoarse voice "from having been out the night before at a soul concert in Brooklyn." But don't let that put you off, he's still an aural delight. <3

Great interviews! I'm VERY intrigued about the first question answered in the second video-- I thought we were going to be done with that! Suppose time will only tell (no pun intended).

I doubt that'll EVER be 100% done with. Come on, how many newlyweds bring another guy on their HONEYMOON, for Pete's sake? And even though Rory eventually married Amy, doesn't mean that he's not still threatened by The Doctor. He can be as brave and loyal as he wants, he's not THE DOCTOR, and he never will be. He'll never have the history that those two have with each other, he'll never be as brilliant as Eleven, and I never got the feeling that Rory was as into the adventure of traveling as Amy was. He's really only there because Amy is. And let's not forget that if Amy had never come on to The Doctor, he never would have come back for Rory and it would still just be her and Eleven out there cruisin' the stars together. And Rory knows it. And I bet he doesn't like it one bit

You bring up very good points. I'm a heavy Amy/11 shipper but have been trying my damnedest to ship cannon... or at least OT3. You're pulling at my little shipper's heart with these comments. hahahah I'll go off into a corner now and speculate. :D

I have also been trying super hard to ship Amy with Rory, especially now that it's canon, but it just doesn't feel right to me. I've been shipping Amy/11 since she hit him with the cricket bat in "The Eleventh Hour". Once I start shipping a particular couple it's very hard to quit...even if it's not the popular/preferred ship of that fandom. I kinda do the OT3, but Amy/11 is still one OTP.

I'm a bit confused at what Matt says that Eleven and Rory are still fighting for Amy, but I've also read contradictory information where he says there's no competition anymore. Okay, which is it? Maybe it's the way I'm interpreting it. Perhaps the Doctor is just being selfish and wants Amy for his own and nothing more. I'm just...confused. lol

I love that they're being so nebulous that I'm not sure which bombshell they're talking about, though I suspect it's the one delivered late in episode 2.
