It seems to be that, if it weren't a Queer film; with a hot product like Matt Smith in a starring role such a project would have been aired several times by now.

Probably true... but I have only a little hesitation in saying if it were up to the American industry it probably wouldn't be made at all.

Or get proper distribution. Just look at I Love You Phillip Morris. Got rave reviews at Sundance two years ago and barely got a chance in the theaters. Which I resent, because I missed the one week where it was in a cinema. *sigh...

You could also argue that if the TV movie didn't have the hot commodity that is Matt Smith, it wouldn't have even been given a broadcast chance at all. Or let alone be made. Which is a shame, because it probably still would probably still look as gorgeous as it does in the trailers/commercials/photos.

Etc. etc. But now they're slapping him with a nudity ban, making me angry for so many different reasons. If Christopher Isherwood had been heterosexual and he was romping about with a woman, I doubt this would be an issue.
