Is any one else feeling disappointed in the BBC for their use of the current Daleks? Over the Christmas break we had Daleks running around in air ports advertising comedy shows and the latest BBC one trailer has them standing side by side with all the dancing/singing shows like they're all sitting on the same level.

What happened to when Daleks were scary and made kids hide behind sofas? Why is the BBC trying so hard to force Daleks into the TV series (In Tens run they constantly appear and after Nine's first encounter they were never really dangerous)? I feel like the Daleks are now over exposed and being put in the BBC trailers is making them seem more like a joke than a race able to stand on par with the Timelords and win a Time war (Survival : 2 Time lords VS entire new Dalek race = Daleks won).

I know someone will bring up the new Dalek colur schemes and while I'm not keen on them, their problem is they need to be battle damaged a bit, some scorch marks and chipped paint would make them just as menacing, the problem they have is they all look like they're fresh out of training and never seen a lick of combat. It does make me think the BBC may have got the colour changes done so they could use them in their promos though, the promos have been red and white with high contrast for years now and making the Daleks fit into that isn't an impossible scenario.

Does any one else feel they're selling out the Daleks or is it just me?
