While I love the pics of Karen modeling, there's something lacking about the pics in that second row, isn't there? You can't see that spark of spirit that really makes her lovely. Like in the top row. And I like her hair in that top row *wishes her own hair would get that long soon*

And Arthur with his hair in every direction like a haystack is the cutest thing ever! He looks like he should be the accidental lead in a Patricia McKillip novel. If anyone knows what I'm on about with that comment.

I was going to say something similar about the second set of photos. She looks kinda...dead in them. (LOVELY! But dead...)

She's done so many amazing shoots, though; pretty, pretty girl!

I like how "balancing ball on your foot" is his demonstration of "AWESOME FOOTBALLER"! (Although I dunno know what I'm making fun of--I couldn't even stand on one foot and point without falling over.)

I want Arthur as my Time Life operator.

Yeah I sort of failed on Matt's pictures, but I didn't know what else to do!

No way! I love him showing off his footie skills like a little kid at recess!

My hair is probably longer than Karen's - it's an inch or two above my waist but it's so thick, it probably wouldn't stay put if I put it into a hairstyle like that! Not that I'd have a clue how to do it anyway :p

If Frida Kahlo could do it anyone could! But I'm not sure how to do it either, it looks like two braids wrapped around and pinned.

Yeah, you've got a point ... I wasn't exactly noticing that when I was putting the pictures together. I was just trying to get a fairly complete and broad cross-section of her modeling stuff. I do think the first three pictures are my favorite though! And ugh yes I wish my hair would do that too. In high school I typically kept my hair about as long as it is in the picture of her in the blue, though in college and after I had my son I started chopping it off. Though, about this time last year I decided that if I was going to cosplay Amy at D*C this year I was NOT wearing a wig, so I started growing my hair out. I haven't had it cut since September of 2009!

So it's gone from this to this:

Patricia McKillip is one of my favorite fantasy authors, and I was just reading her latest book so that's probably why I was thinking of her. She has quite a few heroes who are farmers, or bards, or otherwise unlikely heroes who somehow manage to achieve amazing things. Quite a few of them are described as rather messy while they're at it!
Your hair looks like it's getting there lengthwise, so if that little cutie gives you any time off maybe you can try the braids. Otherwise, it looks like you will be able to cosplay Amy really well soon! Congrats!
