MATT SMITH'S Doctor Who has been declared dead.
The shock news leads to his former companions Sarah Jane and Jo Grant meeting for the very first time.
They join forces to discover the truth in The Sarah Jane Adventures - Death Of The Doctor, a two-parter airing on CBBC on October 25 and 26.
It sees an interstellar conspiracy gather around Unit HQ, with Clyde finding he holds the fate of the Time Lord in his hand.
Matt Smith, Laila Rouass and Katy Manning guest star in the tale by Russell T Davies.
Old friends must fight together to make one last stand against the sinister Shansheeth. But with Clyde and Rani trapped and in terrible danger, Sarah Jane and Jo Grant realise their worst fears - their friendship with the Doctor might be the very thing that dooms them.
The Doctor is played by Matt Smith, Sarah Jane by Elisabeth Sladen, Jo Grant by Katy Manning, Clyde by Daniel Anthony, Rani by Anjli Mohindra and Colonel Karim by Laila Rouass.Jo was a companion of the third incarnation of the Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee, in the 1970s.
The adventure is repeated on BBC1 on October 27 and 28.
