Upcoming appearences of Matt and Karen
According to The Sun (yeah, I know, I know) and subsequently re-reported by all the usual suspects, Matt and Karen will be appearing on The One Show on BBC1 and BBCHD at 7pm tomorrow (Friday 20th). Nothing on the One Show's website as yet, but apparently they are literally a last minute booking:
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan have been called upon at late notice to appear on Chris Evans's first One Show, according to sources.
Evans, who was named as the new regular Friday night host of the BBC consumer show last April, presents his first edition with Alex Jones tomorrow.
However by late yesterday, producers had still not booked any celebrities to appear on his debut edition, leading to frantic last-minute calls to agents and PR companies, reports The Sun.
One agent said: "They've known for months that Chris Evans will be hosting the show this Friday. So we were quite surprised they were asking so late in the day if we had anyone who could appear on the show.
"Getting people at short notice in summer is tricky, so it was pretty odd for them to be getting their begging bowl out like that."
A One Show insider, who described the situation as "tense", said: "It was getting hairy. We were running out of time. Chris's first show was looking like being a disaster."
Doctor Who actors Smith and Gillan have now apparently rescued producers by agreeing to appear on Friday night's edition.
And the lovely Miss Gillan we be appearing in person at the Glasgow Hamley's for a signing session:

On Saturday 28th August Doctor Who fans north of the border will be able to meet Doctor Who star Karen Gillan as she visits Hamleys flagship store in Glasgow, St Enoch Shopping Centre for her first in-store signing event.
Talking about the visit Karen said, "I'm so excited to be travelling up to Scotland to introduce fans to my new Amy Pond action figure, I can't wait to meet everyone."
Karen who plays Amy Pond, companion to the Eleventh Doctor will be signing copies of her action figure from 12 noon - 2pm at Hamleys flagship store in Glasgow. From 9am fans will be able to collect a wrist band from the store to ensure their place in the queue.
