Back in October 2008, around the time Tennant was breaking fandom with his announcement, Vogue Featured a picture in an article about the upcoming British talent. In that picture, was one Matt Smith, on the cusp of his 26th birthday, and blissfully unaware, as were we, that life was going to get so much better:
Sorry about the blur down the side, but I scanned this from my copy, which will be worth a gajillion zillion pounds this time next year *is hopeful*, so I wasn't going to rip it out or bust the spine. :D
