Series Five Retrospective Fest!
In the long, dark tea-time of the soul months ahead before The Sarah Jane Adventures start and the Christmas special airs, we thought it might be nice to have some kind of retrospective in celebration of all that was epic about series 5.
Over the next four weeks, we will be devoting our attentions to the four main characters of the series; The Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams and River Song. Each character will be celebrated with a week long series of posts.
At the end of the four weeks, we will be sharing the love for the memorable supporting characters, the alien/monster of the week, Costumes, Murray Gold, Steven Moffat, and other great stuff we've probably forgotten about. :D
We will begin this on Monday 12th July (i.e. tomorrow) with the Eleventh Doctor, and to give you all a chance to prepare stuff, here's how the week will shape up:
Monday: The Eleventh Doctor
A post for discussing the character.
Tuesday: Matt Smith
A post for discussing Matt in his other roles, what he brings to the Doctor, what you'd like to see him do in future.
Wednesday: Picspam post
A post where you can spam us with your absolute favourite pictures/screencaps of the Eleventh Doctor
Thursday: Fanworks Recommendations
A post for sharing your favorite Eleven-centric fanfics, fanart and graphics.
Friday: Favourite episode poll
Here's where you can vote for your favorite episode, and preferred time slot, ready for...
Saturday: The Watchalong
Based on the majority vote, there will be a watchalong post for the winning episode, at the most popular chosen time.
This format will then continue over the following weeks for Amy, Rory and River.
Any questions or suggestions are welcome, either here or in the page-a-mod post.
