The columns. The enormous, vertically draped flag. "Country first." I saw this image on the front page of MSNBC.com this morning, and "Nuremberg" immediately popped into my mind.
What's my point? Certainly not McCain = Hitler. Find me an analogous comparison of an Obama rally and I'll update this post with that side-by-side comparison as well.
What is my point, then? There may not be a specific formula for visual displays of power... but there certainly are tried-and-true elements. Be aware of them, and take note of how they affect your emotional response to the message.
