When I did the myspace thing it was just another way to stay in touch with a few people (and you know who you are).
Lately, however, I keep getting requests to hook up with people. Is that all that common? I suppose it was a little naive of me to think that myspace wasn't going to be a meat market, but I was pretty sure that I marked myself as "off limits."
See status: In a relationship. Really, it couldn't be more clear. Trust me, its not "in a relationship until someone else comes and asks." Nor is it "in a relationship, but not that kind of relationship so ask me to hook up with you."
Furthermore, what kind of person would end their current relationship for a the blind hook-up over the internet? Would you really want a guy who leaves his girlfriend for anonymous solicitations via Myspace message? That should be a rather large red flag.
Oh, and don't send me message saying that you like to "have fun." Really, you do? Cause I don't. I'm really rather un-fun. I'm anti-fun. As people who know me can attest, I'm about as fun as cancer at a baby shower.
Hmmm, maybe that one was a little harsh. How about, I'm as fun as a heart attack at a retirement party. Actually, that might be kind of fun.
On a completely unrelated note, non-stop Trance music actually goes really well with a late night grading session. I may have to pick up a glow stick or two for my red pens.
Weather's great, the weekend is here, think I'll relax a bit before hitting the books.
