Here I sit in the same old class yet again. This has been quite a rollercoaster week for me. Friday, I was running a machine all day at work, then headed to Heather's to follow her down to the Dickey's for a Bible study. That went pretty well...had a good time talking to Heather and Jered afterwards. Didn't go up to Lindsay's on Saturday, because she 'wasn't ready'. Went to Fry's Electronics, though...that's a huge store. Plus, they've got everything from motherboards to televisions to ham radios to airsoft guns. Ended up buying an FM transmitter for my iPod, a book to help me get my ham license, and a firewall program. Ran into Scott before I left, so I even got a discount on everything but the software, which was only going to be $10 after rebates anyway. Stopped by camp on the way home out of sheer boredom and ended up staying there for two or three hours. Talked to John Cook and Tom Sturm in the parking lot, then talked to Lois for a few minutes, then went in and talked to Barb for a long time. That reminds me, I need to get my paperwork filled out and take it up there. Somebody leave me a comment to do that when I get home...thanks. Went down with Doug to get a measurement of the backstop so I could tell the lady who's bringing her pack up on the 30th how long of a wire to buy to hang the targets on. And if anyone from my staff is available to help that day, it'd be greatly appreciated...and you'll be getting paid $10 an hour. Then went back and went through what Barb needs to order for this summer. Oh, and supposedly Archery will be running on Fridays this year as well as BBs. Horray for no more annoying carnival B and the stupid catapault!!! Anyway, left there and headed to the McCauley's for another Bible study. The study was good, but not nearly as much fun as Friday night. Talked to Devin for a few minutes before being asked to go get Napoleon Dynamite. Can't say I hated the movie, but I probably won't watch it again, and I probably won't be one of the people who randomly quotes it. I guess it was just too pointless for me. Talked to Heather for about two minutes before we left, which consisted of me asking her what was wrong and her telling me. Sunday...sucked. Class was fine. Carrell asked me to help him with the table, since one of the guys wasn't there...no big deal. The service was fine. Felt kinda left out of the conversation between Heather, Becky, and Matt after services, so I just walked out. They probably thought I was mad at them or something, but I wasn't. Band was just there...marching practice for the last half hour was still boring. Back to services Sunday night, which didn't get a whole lot better. Found out before services started why Heather was in such a good mood...or at least part of it. Talked to Devin for a long time after services...his mood was as bad as mine was, so we made quite a depressing pair. Ended up going to Wendy's, like I guessed. I was quite suprised to see Lindsay - and her mom - standing in line when I walked in. I felt like her mom was sitting there staring at me the whole time, but I don't much care. I ended up sitting with Heather, Becky, and Matt...right next to Henry and (his) Lindsay, Cory, Daniel, Chad, and Lindsay. Shortly after we sat down, Lindsay and Cory moved to their own table away from everyone else..."to finish a conversation" is what I was told. I thought it was quite amusing, because Heather, Jered, and I had joked around about how funny it would be if Cory and Lindsay got together. Anyway, I ended up being pretty much left out of the conversation again, so I just sat and listened. Devin came over once Sarah moved over to the other teen table, and we ended up talking the rest of the evening. Everybody else left early so Becky could get home, so I figured I might as well leave, too. Talked to Heather online when she finally got home and found out the rest of the reason she'd been in such a good mood. Put me in a pretty lousy mood, but oh well. Monday was quite crappy because of what I was told, but it was just more of the same routine. Calc, work, group meeting, then home to wait on Shawn. We ended up going to Houlihan's downtown for dinner. Good food, good company, and we were about the only ones in the place that weren't firemen. His truck is pretty nice, too...despite being a Ford. The only thing I like better about his is the exhaust. I've wanted mine a little louder for a while now...maybe not quite as loud as his, but maybe I will just to annoy people. Or maybe I'm just in that kind of mood right now. Anyway, he ended up leaving my house about 12:30, and I was feeling much better after spending a few hours with the one friend who's always there when I need him. Tuesday was okay overall. Ended up skipping my last class because I was in a lousy mood and hate this class anyway. Ended up at Washington Square, probably because I'm too broke to buy ammo to burn at Pop Guns. As I was getting myself situated for the typical crowd at the mall, I saw Heather Ames helping someone load up their stuff. Went in and talked to her for a long time...there was a lot of catching up to do. Too bad she actually had to go do something for work, though. It's quite amazing to me how much having a conversation with a friend can improve your mood. Feeling much better, I continued wandering Target, then out into the mall...Radio Shack, Outpost, then Sears. That could have really ruined my mood had I let it, but I just let it roll off for the most part. Stopped by Whittler's Bench on the way back, but still nothing worth buying. I even made it out of the Outpost with my hands empty. By this time, my class would have been over, so I headed home. The parents were at the Indians game, so it didn't much matter when I got home. Talked to Lisa, Heather, and Shawn for a while online while watching The Jackal. I was a little annoyed when I realized that I'd taped over the wrong one and the one I kept was missing the last part of the movie. Wednesday was pretty good, possibly more for spite than anything. Calc, work, then actually got to go home, change, and get something to eat before going to services. I was quite surprised to see that Heather put her stuff down right beside Lindsay in class...an idea of why popped in my head when I saw it, but I'm probably wrong, so I'm not going to say anything. Lindsay's mom and Monte called me over after services, just to ask me if I could come up a little early on Saturday to get my stuff. Not sure why it needed to be such a big thing, but whatever. Talked to Devin for a while after discovering the broken liquor bottles in front of my truck. No damage done to my truck, which I was very happy about. Found out why I wasn't spoken to much...just a misunderstanding. Then right before I went to bed, I made a big mistake, which resulted in a late-night call to my big brother. It was one of those things I just had to talk to someone or I wouldn't get any sleep, and since I did, I slept pretty well...until shortly before the alarm went off. Today didn't start out too great, but ended up okay. Talked to Heather online before we went to classes and agreed we'd meet up after class like we have been. So, when I got out of calc, I headed over to where we usually meet. She usually gets out before me, so I was surprised to see she wasn't there. Something made me check my phone, where I saw I had a text message. She'd gotten out of her class pretty early and her next class had been cancelled, so she headed home. That really got me down, but I'm not gonna say why, because it's just the way my brain works. Went to work in a foul mood, faked a decent mood to make some phone calls for my boss then went and started playing plumber. I had to replace a faucet that got broken. Once I got it off, my boss and I headed over to Menard's to get a new faucet and a whole lot of stuff to put up some doors in the storage area I worked in so long upstairs. Ended up costing over $500 for door stuff, a faucet, and a ladder. The president of the company is going to have a heart attack when he sees that, but it's not me that has to deal with it. Somehow spending a couple hours at Menard's with my boss improved my mood. Not sure how that worked, but I'm not complaining. Then it was off to two boring classes tonight. Nothing too exciting, except helping one of my computer science profs figure out how to use the computer without a mouse. Then he cornered me after class to talk about my (lack of) performance again. He's actually a lot nicer guy than I gave him credit for. I was quite surprised. Anyway...grilled myself a burger and baked some tater tots for dinner, and the best part was the cleanup - throw away the aluminum foil from the tater tots. Still gotta go cover up the grill, but that's it. This weekend could be quite depressing. Tomorrow's plans have changed. I was gonna go to the gospel meeting in Lafayette with Heather, Devin, and Matt, but changed my mind. Partly because of lastnight (the mistake I made), and partly because all three of them know a lot of people up there and I've seen two people from up there half a dozen times, and I guess Ashley's up there for school, but we don't even talk much. So, I'll have to see what I can figure out to keep me preoccupied. Saturday is up to Lindsay's in the morning to get my stuff back, then who knows what. Mom's talking about going to FDIC after her training, so if she does, I'll probably go with her. If not, I may just chill at Belzer or Heartland, unless someone on here wants to do something. Any takers?
