We have a cat now!!!
I couldn't believe it when I saw mom walk in the door Saturday night with a cat cage in her hand, and then she put it down and there was actually a kitten inside!
They went to the pet store on the way home from dinner to get a fish bowl for a guy mom works with (to fill with M&Ms), saw the kitten, held her for a while, she started crying when they put her back, so they bought her. So, since they went for a fishbowl and ended up spending almost $200 (kitten, cat stuff, and a fishbowl), they named her Fishbowl. Grr...stupid name, but they won't let me change it. She's so tiny, and seems to enjoy the back of my desk chair...she fell asleep up there a few minutes ago. She looks like a baby Carmel, if you've ever seen Heather's cat.
In other news, this is finals week. Three down, one to go 8am Friday. Then it's work full time until the semester starts, and I'll probably only be taking one class per semester, in hopes that I'll be more motivated to put forth effort in that class. It's better than my original idea of dropping out...not as much work/stress all at once and I still end up with a degree. We'll see how that works out.
