I guess I've fallen behind again, huh? Oh well, get over it. When's the last time I updated this thing, anyway? Last Thursday. Okay, I can do this...
Friday was work all day, then headed to Lindsay's. Worked on homework, watched a movie I hadn't seen before, and played with puppies. Got back home about 12:30 I think, only because I had to take care of Happi while my parents 'had stuff to do' at the camper. Saturday, I got up and headed back to Lindsay's to go with her family to thier Heritage Fair. It was okay...more crafts than I expected and not much that I found particularly interesting, but it's okay. Went back to her house to drop off family, then headed to Wal-Mart (for her meds) and Best Buy for my laptop. Got more than mad at my bank at Best Buy because they wouldn't clear my check. Apparently the money I transferred (that their site showed as transferred) didn't transfer, even though it was well before they closed. Went back to her house and watched a movie instead of trying to concentrate on homework. Went home earlier than Friday night, because I had to get up for church. Sunday was church, lunch with Lindsay and her mom, band, church, and Arby's with the group for George's birthday. Man, that was a lot of smoke. It was wierd sitting with the teens again...I've been sitting with the adults for about a year now.
Monday was calc, work, and Olive Garden with Lindsay and family for my grandmother's birthday. That wasn't too bad. Went to Best Buy and finally got my laptop after getting another check declined (because they declined one on Saturday), then went home and watched Finding Nemo while playing with my new toy. It's an HP Pavilion zv5000 with an Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz processor, 60GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, Win XP Home, an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP video card, a built-in 802.11 b/g wireless card, digital media reader, DVD/CD-RW combo, Firewire port, and a widescreen. I like it...it's just a lot more than the one I planned to buy (that was apparently only online). I've just got to remember to send in the rebate... Tuesday was calc, work, classes. Oh, and I spent the entirety of all three evening classes trying to get my laptop to connect to the network. Finally went to UITS and found out that upgrading from Win XP Home to Pro screwed up drivers - which is why I couldn't connect - and that I didn't need Pro to get on the network at school. Bob basically told me not to eat the only lunch meat we have left because he bought it for the dog. That made me mad...I guess I'm not as good as the dog. I guess I forgot to pay him for my cell phone last month, but he didn't say anything about it...just gave me a receipt showing how much I owed at the beginning of the month. It got buried on my desk and I couldn't remember if I paid it or not. Yesterday didn't start so good...got moving earlier than normal, so I had some time to kill. Remembered 10 minutes before I needed to leave that I had Maple projects due that I hadn't done yet. Luckily, I'd already done 2 of them last semester. Ended up in the farthest lot, so I headed to class early and ran into an old friend on the way in. Hadn't talked to her in a couple years, so that was cool. Calc was boring as usual. Headed back home because I forgot my phone, then off to work. Got to play with one of the big plastic forming machines...not really running it, but I had to move it because I was greasing it. That was fun. Lindsay had a doctor's appointment, so she was waiting for me when I got home. We went out to Hardee's for dinner, then church, then sitting in my truck talking about finances for better than an hour. Today has been calc, work, and more class. Laptop is connecting fine now, even though according to UITS, I'm not supposed to be able to. Now here I sit updating my LJ and finding out that I'm even more broke than I thought I was lastnight. So it looks like I'll be taking more out of my savings to cover things. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Well, I've managed to eat up all my class time, so this is the end. Later all.
