busy time of year
I've been so busy lately I don't know if I'm coming or going. Some of it is the usual craziness associated with the holidays. Some of it is lots of stuff going on at work. And some of it is related to my stomach craziness.
I went to the TMJ center today for my evaluation. Long story short, my jaw is worse than I thought. The doc thinks he can help relieve some of the pain and hopefully make swallowing easier, but he's pretty sure the popping and clicking is permanent. The biggest surprise was that he thinks all of the teeth clenching and grinding may be caused by sleep apnea. He wants me to get a sleep study done. I don't really have any of the more serious symptoms of apnea, but I guess that doesn't mean I can't have it. Anyway, I'm going back next week to get started with the measurements and tests needed to create the appliances I'll be wearing day and night for the next 10 to 12 weeks. We shall see how this all plays out.
Meanwhile I'm trying to refinance my condo. That's a major project in and of itself. I've got a bunch of documentation I need to collect and fax to them but I've been so busy at work that I haven't had the time to do this. Plus, I've got to finish ordering all my Christmas gifts. You wouldn't think that would take very long but you'd be wrong. I still have no idea what I'm getting my brother.
And then there's the club. Thank God my term as president is almost over. I still need to run one more meeting which includes elections. Then I wash my hands of it. I'll still probably be pretty involved with the bid to co-host nationals with our Riverside chapter, but if I want or need to back out of that, I can.
