Oh no! I-... Well This is unfortunate. My little flicker of guidance seems to have gone out. No trouble, though! I should be able to make my way back to safety... eventually! I'm simply letting you know here, to avoid startling anyone I may run into.

[The shuffling of someone's feet slowly dragging around can be heard before the pat pat patting of ( Read more... )

Ah, that would be the hallways of the barracks! Rather strange, as I am quite sure that I would remember such surroundings with great detail! I had been under the assumption that I'd simply navigate through memory, but it seems that I've wandered into an unfamiliar room... As far as consequences go, being lost in the dark is rather tame in comparison to other things that could be happening... So there's that!

Just. Stay where you are.

Coming to assist me? Needn't worry about that, good sir. I'm quite sure I won't be able to see myself out of here without your help. I could use some company... It's rather discomforting here, in the pitch black.

[Yeah, yeah.]

Keep talkin'. Don't care about what.

[He'll try to smell him, but if he can't sniff Malkus out, then maybe he can hear him.]

Oh uh- yes, alright! Well...

[Malkus carries a rather strong scent of herbs and lake water! Spending so much time stuffing your mask with grass and leaves while hunting for leeches will do that to ya.]

I don't know what exactly could have blocked out the very sun, or if whatever it is had absolutely extinguished it, but I do hope it is sorted out soon! I don't enjoy this dependency on candlelight... Come to think of it, I've heard that there isn't actually a sun. Leads one to wonder where all the light had been coming from in the first place...

Oh dear, I'm afraid I do not know your name, sir. I'm Malkus Iverwelling!
