[The audio starts with an odd sound. If anyone pays enough attention, it's should be clear that it's the sound of something burning.]Huh. Didn't expect that to happen. Was flammable... or inflammable. Can never remember the difference. Doesn't matter. So much for the monsters of the Underground ( Read more... )

Eezo. Element Zero. May have other names, but can't remember. Rather important to some of the technology I use. Personally want it for medigel.

What's medigel?

All-purpose medical agent. Very useful. Can shorten healing times on major wounds. Close wounds up, clot bleeding wounds. Revolutionized medicine in many ways.

It certainly sounds useful. If I ever get attacked by a unicorn again, I'll know who to turn to.

Don't think we'll see another unicorn in the wild. Suggestion of some polar bear... or "Ewok" maybe running around. But doubtful on the unicorn front. Still, very useful for wounds of all types.

Probably not, but it's good to know who to turn to in case of injury at any rate.

Many other good doctors. Not just me. Just happen to have something fancy.

I know; they did fine at the hospital, but fancy is fancy.

Fancy can be distracting. A ruse to get attention. Seen many try to claim revolutions in medicine. Something new. People flock to it. People die.

Has that happened?

Yes. Recently. New diet drug. Use of micromachines to convert parts of what you ate into harmless waste, rather than calories for fat. Was hacked very quickly. Some abused that hack. Some died. Been recalled for all except in specific cases.

What specific cases?

doctor_tangent January 18 2011, 16:23:25 UTC
Can't perfectly remember the specifics. But in general, medical necessity. Technically required a prescription to begin with, but people will find ways to abuse anything. Especially with appearance. Some calling for recall, but unlikely.
