[See Mordin. See Mordin looking down towards his arm at a ghost-like orange gauntlet on his arm, clearly not paying attention to the world.]

Not now Shepard, trying to discover how scale-itch got onto the Normandy. Sexually transmitted disease. Only carried by varren. Implications unpleasant. Anything else? …Shepard?

[Mordin finally looks up, ( Read more... )

Yes. I have. Interesting place. No sense of logic.

Unfortunate though that fact is, it is regrettably the least of this world's inconveniences. It may make internal sense, yes, but there is no reason to call so many here as those in charge have done. Nor is there a reason for this world to change as it has a maddening habit of doing.

Maybe not us. At least until we're at the center of it. Collectors collected so many humans. No clue why. True answer could make people crazy. But didn't know until we we're at its true center. Makes Reapers even bigger threat. Still. Idea of "internal" logic makes sense. This world having its own rules. Not same rules as "home". Fascinating.

I see no other explanation for the variety of beings to be found here, much less the regularity of some of the more drastic inconveniences.

Collectors collected many species. Experimented on them. Found a way to kill them all via engineered plague. Could be a staging ground for dimensional domination.

I would not put it past our jailers. However, there is the fact that very few of the regular occurrences here biological in origin.

A few? Only few. Expected more. With how everyone has been talking about the strangeness of this City.

Jailers? Who are these "jailers" of ours?

It is undeniably strange. However most effects seem to focus on the physical.

They allow themselves to be called 'deities,' although I would be hesitant to call them such in truth.

Physical? How so. Need more precise data.

Hmm. Signs of power, respect. Even if they don't deserve the title, must be a reason that the title remained. Even Ardat-Yakshi considered gods because of their innate abilities compared to other Asari. Can you tell me more about these "deities"?

Give it a month or so. You should have plenty of data for a preliminary exploration by then.

I have not spoken to them extensively. However, they are quite willing to speak if spoken to. Should you chose that path I would advise caution. They are not the most precise of individuals.

A month? Hmm. Very well.

Why should I have caution with them? What can they do?

They are as yet an unknown. We do not know the full scope of their capabilities.

doctor_tangent December 28 2010, 19:08:14 UTC
Huh. Okay, better question. What are their perceived abilities or capabilities?

It has been theorized they are to blame for the changes of the city. In addition they seem to have some control over the city itself as well as the abilities of those in it.

Interesting. No wonder title of deity sticks for them. Will keep an eye on them.
