not believable at all tbh, the books are so weird about having these enormous timegaps off screen. Ten and Martha spend like a hundred years in a balloon in one.
I love this book, I'm sure there are a couple of plot holes you could fly the Tardis though , but basically the whole novel is shippy from start to finish.

though i'm not sure how believable it is that ten spent 3 months learning how to sculpt while rose was back in ancient rome.
