One staple in fanfic for any fandom is the High School AU! You know, where the characters meet as teenagers and do teenagery things. :D Since BP was fairly young when she filmed DW (started at 22, I believe), it's pretty easy to picture Rose in her late teens.

But what about Nine, Ten and Eleven? Well wonder no longer!

DT was 23 in that picture. It's from Takin' Over the Asylum. There are a few pix of him in high school where he looks a little more geeky.

What kind of scares me is that Matt Smith looks pretty much the same as he does now.

i had a whole reply already written and the freakin' thing froze and I had to run off to a couple of meetings.

But it said, essentially

Remember that Matt has only been out of school for a little over 10 years, DT has been a little over 20, and CE a little under 30. So it makes sense that Matt would still look like his school days pix.
Look at pix of DT & CE at the same point in their lives and they still look a fair amount like these younger pix of them. (and I would argue that DT often still does... when he's very closely clean shaven and in a really happy mood and laughing he looks very much younger than he is)

drama, maybe choir. but absolutely NO soccer. he has never had any interest whatsoever in sport... still doesn't and says so proudly whenever asked what team he supports. If you've seen the pix of him at Wimbledon a couple of years he looks bored beyond measure. It's one of the reasons I love him so :)

he does have amazing legs and bum, but honestly I think a lot of it is genetics. he works out now because he has to to be able to keep up with the work he does and stay healthy, but i seriously doubt he ever thought of running for anything other than getting away from someone who was going to pummel him for being a DW fan when he was young.

David is always super cute no matter what. He is just a cuteface.

I found that CE pic on the website of his former school. WHICH TOTALLY ISN'T CREEPY AND STALKERY.

(At least I'm pretty sure that's where I got it - there was much surfing the other day by way of google image search, people on LJ and people on tumblr.)
