Do Your Christmas Shopping While Helping A Friend In Need!
My appologies for the off-topic post, but I just wanted to let you all know about a special event going on this weekend.
Stop by the Support Stacie "I'll Be Homemade For Christmas" Auction Here!
As you may recall, Support Stacie is a group of volunteers who are raising money for fellow fandom member truelovepooh, who is an uninsured cancer patient. Pooh was diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer in March 2007 and is still going through chemo with the support of her many online friends. You can read about her story HERE.
The Homemade Auction is open until 6:00pm CST (-6 GMT) tomorrow. Don't forget that you have to register for the board in order to bid, since this is the first time we've held an auction here on our own board. There is no minimum bid requirement for the 93 auction items (with the exception of the Angel ornaments, which are being sold for a set price). The FAQ thread is Here if you have any questions.
All of the auction items (except for the baked goods) are already packaged and ready to be mailed out as soon as the auction ends and payment is received, or you can opt to have them sent out Dec. 15th, for receipt closer to Xmas. (The baked goods are made on request and mailed immediately.)
As usual, chatter is welcome! We've also got a discussion forum up where you can start your own threads for fandom or RL talk.
