[Crane's doing a video post, and you can see that he's leaning against a wall. People who have visited Crane's room before might recognize that it's not his, but other than that it's a rather neutral background ( Read more... )

Turning around to look at them makes them disappear and throwing a dagger at them has them flicker to let it pass through. And the moment I went to retrieve it, it disappeared. [He's just... ignoring that death threat. What's people's problem with those, anyway.]

You're doing better than I have. I've barely been able to look at what they are. I just see the shape. Looming.

Do you think that them becoming corporeal is a real possibility?

I didn't really look. I threw the dagger without doing that. It's a shame that I don't have all my powers, though... I'm sure it would be interesting to see if they react the same way to psychic attacks.

And I do. It's been gradually worsening; unless the Admiral finds a way to get rid of them, I wouldn't be surprised if they managed it eventually.

If anything, psychic attacks would be more likely to have an effect while they're lacking physical form.

Yes, quite. I wouldn't like a scenario where everyone is dead. Because if everyone is dead, who can ask the Admiral to bring people back?

It may be worth a try. I'm attempting to put together a report of sorts, I'll ask if it has been tried yet. If the filters work, I was thinking on putting the wardens, Time Lords and you on it. Would there be any other inmate you would suggest?

And I don't think it will be quite that bad, but I have no intention of dying. Or letting my friends die.

Just as long as Edward Nygma is on it, it will be fine. And Kay, of course. If anyone is going to solve this, it's going to be them.

I've never intended to die here and it hasn't stopped it happening. I just hope they don't eat us. I was eaten once before and I didn't much like it.

[His expression darkens for a moment at the mention of Kay.] I've intended to leave all wardens on it. There may be some useful ones I've never talked with before and while I may have had differences with some others in the past. I recognize their use.

Considering that I'm a billion years old I've not regenerated very often, though I'm rather confident in my ability to survive.

My main concern is that they won't organize themselves. A few bright sparks may not be able to solve this.

Well, good for you. The rest of us aren't.

I do hope they do. I've told Narvin that I think they should and while we're not... on friendly terms, he is a Time Lord. I am sure even he can understand that that would be necessary.

You just all have to try, don't you? I simply have more reason to be confident.

Why aren't you on friendly terms? Did something happen?

You'll excuse my lack of confidence in the barge at the moment. The combined effect of the deck and these beings is not comforting.

We had an argument about Gallifreyan tradition. Being with an alien is against it. He thought it a good idea to say that as CIA he doesn't have to uphold the traditions anyway and I... disagreed.

Most certainly. Whatever it is, I hope the Admiral manages to get rid of it before it gets even worse.

How awkward. I gather it's an issue that can't be easily resolved.

Yes, I hope so too. But his lack of control over it so far is not encouraging.

Considering that he brushed off my apology by insulting me, then went on to insult me more when I was helping him, then wished harm upon any potential children I may get and then his... fiancé felt the need to publicly call me out by... talking utter nonsense, insulting me and claiming I would mistreat Omega -- which I can assure, is one of the things that I would never do -- no, I don't think it is. In fact, if Omega weren't friends with them still, for some reason, I'd be happy to throw them overboard.

I doubt the Admiral will help us, yes, as much as I may hope he will. As it is, all we can do is try to be prepared.

Well, it seems that he crossed more lines in one conversation than most people achieve in a matter of weeks. Although still, the throwing overboard would probably be a bad course of action on your part.

And therein lies the problem. Apart from your weapon, I'm unsure what could be of use on these things.

I'm not planning on doing it. That doesn't stop them from being incredibly irritating.

If we find out what they are, we might find out how to fight them.

Is it ongoing in any serious way?

I hope so. Because they've definitely got the upper hand at the moment.
