Tried quinoa for the first time.
Cooked it like that:
Heat a good splash of olive oil on the bottom of a cast iron pan, add smashed garlic, salt, curry powder, 1 small de-seeded minced jalapeno, some powdered ginger and a good amount of shredded carrots; add about half a cup of water and let it stew for a bit. Then add about 2 cups of quinoa that has been soaking in water for 30 minutes (rinsed and drained of course); pour some more water as to cover quinoa with about 1/2 inch of water. I also dumped in a can of rinsed beans. Bring to boil, then cover and drop the heat to low. Quinoa will be ready in about 20 minutes. Edible (as declared by
