Halloween Costume

Okay, as some of you know, I wasn't aware I needed a Halloween costume until a couple of days ago when my friend Kim said something along the lines of, "I hope you have a costume cause you're going to 2 parties with me." At which point I said, "ok," and then had a minor stroke.

So...since it's too late to whip up something fantastic from scratch, I'm open to suggestions (either on which of the following ideas you like best, how to quickly and cheaply accomplish one of them OR a new idea altogether). Please keep in mind though that a costume which would look awesome on say...Annie may (and probably will) look ridiculous on me - just saying. Also, I'd prefer a costume that I wouldn't have to explain to every single person I saw - cause that might get old fast. So, with no further ado, here's what's been suggested and not completely rejected thus far:

- Clown: Some baggy goodwill clothes, suspenders, a cheap wig and a $1 pack of face paint, and I'm there.

- Kaylee from Firefly: A pair of overalls with a teddy bear on them, a tank top, and some "grease" streaks on my face aught to do it.

- A Vampire Cowgirl: 1) Thank Annie for this one. 2) I already have everything this would require, except for the fangs, fake blood, and pale face paint.

- Chuck from Pushing Daisies/June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver: The look is essentially the same. I could wear my black-and-white cocktail dress from graduation and then accessorize accordingly.

- Betty from Ugly Betty: Basically, it's a goodwill masterpiece just waiting to be found! I could buy anything I want, layer it and call it a day, as long as I get those thick glass and rat up m hair a little.

So, that's it. What do you guys think?
