Tenure Vote 2
I thought it wouldn't even start before 4:30 like last time, but, in fact, I just got the call. Unanimous positive vote, and, according to my Department Chair, now a total of 13 external reviewers in perfect agreement that I totally rock.
What with one thing or another, I haven't been sleeping through the night this week...more like a fractious baby with too much on her mind than like a tortured soul or even like a busy scholar (well, Sunday-Monday night was sort of work-related sleep deprivation...), and I think I'm going to go take a nap now because, well, just between me and you (plural), I can't even manage to be happy about this. So, yeah, ok, I'm going to get tenure, after All That. But NOT leave in Fall '08, and ... oh, whatever.
