coup de grace

I just had a panic attack.

Holy. Fuck.

Long story short, I hyperventilated and I cried a little and I think I died a little, too.

Strange, but I'm almost getting used to it. I figured out that music calms me down and so does just relaxing. And food, too. But mostly music.

I can't get on to MNI. D: Connection problems are no fun for anyone.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. I'm happy (never going to have to see some of their faces again), and sad (saw some fifth graders today and I remember being in their exact place, doing exactly what they were doing).

And I just read the most epic Hetalia fanfiction that you will ever see. It's Lithuania/Russia, and be warned, there is bad language and alcohol and blood and gore and pyschological torture and Russia takes advantage of Lithuania on more than one occasion.

It's set during World War II. Main characters are Lithuania, Russia, the other Baltics, Poland, and a little bit of Germany.

1940: Lithuania

And a small review:

Really, really good. Seriously. Set during WWII, this fic takes place when the Baltics agree to become one again with the USSR to avoid being annihilated completely. Poland has recently been invaded by Germany and has joint custody with Germany and Russia. The Baltics are living in Russia's large house once more. Poland slowly tries to build up a rebellion, while Liet is confronted with the threat of Russia and his own thoughts of resistance.

Let me just say: everyone is in character for the most part. When Russia and Belarus see each other, Russia isn't as freaked out as I thought he would be, but Belarus is scary. Lituania isn't madly in love with Russia, and stil loves to stare at Belarus, and Lativa is small and bumbling. Poland has his valley girl accent, but it a bit more dark, being half-to-death and screaming every night with nightmares from the invasion. Russia is creepy.

The last chapter was by far my favorite. It was titled that way for a reason.

Oh, poor Lativa! Don't become like Russia!

Russia makes every small snowball fight into a full blown war, doesn't he?

A sample:

Abruptly, the country [Poland] leapt to his feet, knocking his chair to the floor in the process, and bolted for the hallway. He had just reached in when he fell to his knees and retched, losing the entirety of the meal he just ate. Lithuania stood, concerned, but Russia put a hand on his shoulder and gently forced him to sit down.

"Do not worry, I will handle this," Russia said amiably.

Liet twisted in his seat to watch Russia approach the hapless country and kneel down next to him, placing what was meant to be a comforting hand on his back; the smaller country visibly flinched.

"There, there, Poland. Has Germany not been feeding you again?" the huge nation asked. Lithuania's eyebrows shot up to his hairline. He thought Poland just had too much to drink! Germany was starving him?

Read it. Really, it's good.
