update
So…the reason I went into stress-and-retreat mode was unstable job issues. That’s sort of settled. Managed to hold onto a job; I’m in the Marketing department now, which is fine with me. We do a lot of brochures and signage, so I can still design and write and edit, and I’m still in charge of building the weekly industry newsletter on the website. My new duties had better translate into a big ol’raise…because within the next few weeks I should be moving into the townhouse I’d had my eye on. They’re painting and re-carpeting and doing lots of fix-its, so I’ll gladly wait for it to be spruced up.
I had to go to Vermont to get the car my mother gave me. She got a new one and decided (still inexplicably) that I needed two cars. It could come in handy, I suppose, but I’ll probably end up selling my old one. Today I finally finished all the paperwork and hassle with the DMV.
With all the adult responsibility things going on, fandom-wise I’ve been up to nothing. Just re-watching the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series. Most nights I’ve been too wiped out to have strength for anything else. Ah, Data, it’s been too long! No creative projects going, but I made an infinity mirror. It needs some finishing touches to hide the wiring, but I’ll show you. It’s a cool thing.
