That night Ohno was gentle and attentive with his affections, and as Jun fell asleep with Ohno cradled in his arms there was no doubt, that Ohno was very much in love with Jun, and that Jun was very much in love with Ohno. Jun was not sure that having Ohno to the filming would do much to assuage the apparent jealousy that Ohno was harboring, as their lovemaking that night had been punctuated, unusually so, by the occasional whispered of mine, which was not something that usually happened, but given the circumstances Jun was not going to say anything about it.
What he did not expect was for Ohno to stop by his shooting the next day, shuffling in with a sleepy smile and hat pulled low over his head. It was not enough to disrupt his scene or acting, though it did give the staff pause, enough that they called a stop to the scene.
“Is something the matter, Ohno-san?” One of the staff asked, settling Ohno down into a chair near the shooting and Ohno grinned, catching Jun’s eye.
“There was just something that I needed to bring MatsuJun. I am sorry that me coming here caused such a disturbance. Jun’s manager told me where the shooting was today. I truly am sorry for the disturbance. I am in no rush, so it can wait until MatsuJun has a break.” Ohno bowed slightly and the staff member left Ohno in peace, and Jun was glad that the director did not look upset.
Though as shooting resumed, Jun had to admit that it was a little odd to have one’s lover watching him get dressed, even as the camera’s were watching him getting dressed. It was not like they did not change clothes for shoots and things infront of one another all the time, so that was not the odd part, but knowing Ohno was watching him made him slightly more conscious of his movements.
As they shot the scene again and again with the camera at different angles, Jun could hear that Ishihara Satomi had arrived, and he could hear her great Ohno. He was not sure what they were chatting about, but the low tones and laughter in the background helped him relax and focus on being Shuntaro instead of Ohno’s watchful gaze. When the scene finished and he had a moment to himself, Jun was surprised to see that Eita had taken Ishihara’s face and from the quirk of Ohno’s lips, he was quite happy.
“MatsuJun!” Ohno greeted with a grin as Jun, decked out in his suit for the next scenes, joined them.
“Riida.” Jun answered back, his smile slightly wary, but no one but Arashi would know that.
“Sorry to drop by filming unannounced. I just wanted to return this to you, you left it last night when we were having dinner.”
Ohno, Jun noticed, was holding something in his hand, and he reached out towards Jun, who on instinct reached to accept the item. Ohno placed a ring in his hand, and Jun noted with a slight widening of his eyes that it was the very first ring that Ohno had given Jun.
“Didn’t realize you had lost it, MatsuJun?” Eita asked, noticing the widening of his eyes, and Jun nodded slowly.
“Thanks, Riida.” He flashed him a warm smile, and his fondness for the other man shone through. Even if Riida was being jealous, the choice of this ring was just odd. Jun hadnt worn this ring in a while, that was true, and Ohno hadn’t requested it.
“You really are the best.” Jun added, gripping the ring tightly. “I will go put it someplace safe while we finish filming.”
Ohno nodded, and his self-satisfied smirk pulled at his lips. “I expect you to wear it later, after all I went through all the trouble to get it to you.” Jun nodded, moving away to place the ring in his bag with his things, and he could hear Eita and Riida chatting.
“You and Jun have plans later?” Eita asked and Ohno mmmmhmed. Jun could see, in his head, the way that Riida’s eyes scrunched ever so slightly as he grinned.
“I see MatsuJun pretty much every night. Between filming, concert planning and dinners with him and Arashi.” Ohno added casually and Jun started, his hand pausing over his bag in surprise. What the hell was Ohno doing? “I just wanted to bring this by in case for some reason he and I cannot make it later tonight.”
“That must be nice. Arashi really is close.” Eita commented and Jun was glad that he was saved from Ohno saying more as they were called back to shooting. Ohno didn’t linger, pausing only long enough to catch Jun’s eye and wink at him, before shuffling away, his hat pulled low over his eyes, his hands shoved down into his pockets.
“Ohno-san really does take good care of Arashi, doesn’t he?” Eita asked as Ishihara joined them, and all Jun could do was not his agreement. Ohno did take very good care of Arashi, and of Jun, but he was not quite sure that that sneaky man was up to at this moment. He wondered what Ohno would try and pull next at filming.
It was hard to stay mad at Ohno when the first words the other spoke when they saw each other for a meeting later that night were ‘I’m sorry’, sweeping Jun up into a hug as soon a the door closed, engaging in a rare display of affection in front of their band mates.
He realy did want to stay mad at the other, to make sure that Ohno didnt take things too far, but he just couldn’t.
“It is fine, Riida. Don’t worry about it.” Jun smiled fondly down at Ohno, who stepped back, staring up at Jun and searching for something in his expression. Ohno seemed to find whatever it was that he was looking for, as he shuffled back and into a seat at the table, just as the door opened and their choreographer and several of the concert production staff came in, to tell them about changes that needed to be adjusted for some of their upcoming performances as far as positioning.
Once the meeting was underway, Nino shot Jun a look from across Ohno, who was dozing in the chair between them and Jun’s only response was to play with one of the rings on his fingers, one that the others would recognize as him having had for a long time, but probably never realized where it came from.
Nino glanced from Jun, to the ring, to Ohno, and then to Jun again, arching an eyebrow in question, and Jun nodded, and he could watch Nino’s smile widen as the other man scribbled something on paper, sliding it across the table to Jun.
“Marking his territory? I admit, even back then Oh-chan had good taste in accessories. Surprisingly.”
“I am not a piece of property, Nino. This is like a dog pissing on a tree to mark ownership.” Jun slid the paper back.
Nino could not stifle his chuckle, even if the staff did glare him at. “No need to be that pissy with me. Take it up with Oh-chan if you are upset. He came to your filming to give you jewelry. What do you call it?” Nino slid the paper back, but it was intercepted by Ohno, who pulled the paper towards himself with a small smile.
“MatsuJun, Nino, pay attention. This is important.” His scolding was soft, punctuated by sleepiness, and the staff stared at Ohno startled. Usually he slept through these meetings. Or at the very least didn’t speak. He smiled sleepily at them.
“Riida is so awesome!” Aiba chimed out, and after a moment of chuckling the meeting resumed, the paper safe within Ohno’s grip. Jun did not resist when Ohno reached over and pulled an extra pen from Jun’s bag, and he began writing on the paper.
“I wouldn’t want to own Jun, as it would make him less than a person, and he is far too important to me to be reduced to an object. It was just a reminder that he is, and has been precious to me for a very long time.” Jun watched Ohno writing, and he knew that the flush of a blush was creeping up on his cheeks, one that he could not even blame on the steam from the tea that he was currently sipping in an attempt to hide. Ohno’s foot nudged his under the table, and Jun saw that when Nino was done reading the note that Ohno folded it up, slipping it into his pocket.
“You are ridiculous, old man.” Nino muttered softly, as the meeting broke, but his voice was fond, and he grinned at Jun as Ohno shuffled over to Aiba and Sho to discuss dinner plans the next day at a new curry restaurant.
“Looks like you got him out of his funk.” Nino’s voice didn’t carry to the others, and Jun shrugged.
“We talked some about it, but I don’t think that it’s totally better. But it is out in the open.” Jun paused. “He all but implied earlier to Eita that he and I saw each other more than was professionally appropriate.”
“That would explain the apology.”
As Jun hmmed in repsonse, Nino glanced to Ohno, and then Jun, but it did not take long to realize that Jun was not going to share more than that, at least not about the source of Ohno’s unease.
“Something is still bothering you.” Nino stated, and Jun pulled his script out of his bag, passing it to Nino.
“The marked page.” Jun’s gaze was still on his lover, watching his laugh and chat with the others, and it did not take long for Nino to press the script back into his hand, a slight frown on his face. “I asked him to come to the filming...” His voice trailed off and he slipped his script back into his bag.
“But you haven’t told him what it is yet, and he hasn’t asked.” Nino finished and Jun nodded with a sigh.
“He is being uncharacteristically possessive, and I think I know what brought it about--” Jun stopped as Nino shifted, pressing up into him, his eyes sharing sharply up into Jun’s and Jun growled down at him. “I didn’t do anything of the sort, and how dare you even think that,” Jun snapped, and the tone of voice was enough to draw Ohno over to the pair, slipping an arm around each of them and nudging them apart.
“I wasn’t implying that you did.” Nino snapped back and Jun scoffed. “But if you know what brought it about and if you did something to set it off-”
“Kazu.” Ohno’s voice was soft, as he leaned into Nino laying his head on the other’s shoulder. Nino shifted, peering into Ohno’s gaze and Nino deflated. “Sorry J, I just don’t like seeing Ohno unhappy like this, and...”
“You know I wouldn’t do anything to hurt him. He is our precious Riida, after all.” Jun stepped out of the embrace and shouldered his bag. He had more meetings to get to. “Just make sure that he doesn’t plan anything too outrageous for the filming. Please.” Jun glanced to Ohno. “And you, stop acting so…. Odd. This isn’t like you.”
“But J, you know how he is when his mind is set on something.” Nino whined and Ohno chuckled, choosing not to respond to Jun. “J, why are you doing this to me?” Nino continued, and Jun smirked at Nino before moving close to whisper in Nino’s ear.
“It is your punishment for doubting me. As if I would ever do that sort of thing to him. He saved me all those years ago, and I would never cheat on him. You know me better than that, Nino. I am disappointed.” Jun made certain that there was no snark in his words, that he was as honest as he could be, and as he waved goodbye to Aiba and Sho, he could see Ohno watching him calmly, and Nino staring after him with a surprised gaze.
“J-“ Nino called after him, and Jun was not surprised when he phone beeped at him a moment later, indicating that he had a message.

You know I didn’t mean that. Really. I will do my best to find out what he has planned though.

Re: Subject: Sorry
You of all people know just how much he has done for me. That you would assume that, and think so little of me is bothersome. Just find out what he is planning, and make sure that discretion is still his top priority. He has been acting odd this last week or so and I honestly don’t know the reason. But I have to get my work done.
The only reason management has let things go on this long is because we are both discreet enough to not get caught, even living together. I would hate for anything to change that, and while Satoshi knows that I am not sure that he knows that right now.

Things are really that bad? I thought it was just a mood or something. You said you knew what you did.... or thought so at least.

Ask Oh-chan yourself. I am sure that he will tell you if you ask. He hasn’t told me what is bothering him yet, though.
Nino did not answer again after that, and Ohno was slightly pouty that weekend, claiming that Nino was taking all the fun out of his planning, but that was all that Jun heard on the matter. Jun was tempted to uninvite Ohno to the filming, but he was certain that Ohno wouldnt do anything that would harm them. At least he thought he was certain.
Filming kept him busy, Jun made sure that he talked with the director the day before, letting him know ahead of time that someone from Arashi was going to be stopping by the next day. As this was the first time that anyone in Arashi had done a scene of that nature, Jun mentioned that he would feel more comfortable, and it would help the filming along if he had someone from the band there, and the director had just nodded, saying that it was fine. In seemed like a thin excuse to Jun, but if the director was fine with it Jun was not going to argue, and it made it less of a surprise when Ohno came with him to work the next day, as the director had made sure that an extra chair was set up on the side for Ohno. Which Jun was relieved about, but at the same time, he was worried about what Riida would do. But he needed to concentrate on filming, and mastering this. Jun had spent a lot of time watching old clips of their shows looking for the gay comedians, and the okamas and he had been channeling them. The body language, the mannerisms. Jun would nail this scene.
And he did. No one had ever shuffled down the hall clad only in a towel and slippers, cradling an ice bucket before him as magnificently as he did. He was fabulous, so much so that they had to reshoot it because the others were laughing in shocked at how well he could emulate the mannerisms of a gay man. The first time Eita had not been able to keep a straight face and the housekeeping staff had just gaped. The staff had sought approval from the directior, to make sure that Jun was not overdoing it, but Jun had talked with him at length about this, getting his input and desires and this was what he wanted. And so it was what he got. The second Eita’s groping had been unsatisfactory for the director, and Jun was aware that the pencil tip that Ohno was using to sketch broke. The third time Eita had been a bit too enthusiastic and Ohno gave up using a pencil and pulled out a pen.
The fourth they had gotten it. Jun was afraid that he had been a bit too enthusiastic in shoving Eita away from him, hitting him with the bathrobe, but the director seemed happy with it, and Jun was relieved that that portion was done. After the hallway scene, sitting on a dresser with Eita, both half dressed as they eavesdropped on the conversation in the next room was nothing.
It was ironic, really, that Jun had such an easy time emulating a gay man on film.
Ohno stayed through all of the filming that day, even when the scene was done, and Jun was certain that it was due to jealousy, the occasional toying on his phone and none too discreet glances at Jun, who was looking for them (and knew Ohno well enough to know just what they were) were enough to confirm his suspicions. Though as far as he could tell Ohno had not talked to any of his co workers, or the staff, nor had be implied anything to anyone.
Nino had been very sweet to Jun ever since their little spat. Buying him coffee with his own money, offering to take him to lunch, rubbing his shoulders when Jun was sagged in a chair in exhaustion waiting for their next commitment, but he had also spend a lot of time with Ohno, their heads close together, whispering to each other. So Jun knew that Ohno was planning something, he just was not sure what it was.
Eita, as usual, invited any who were willing to go to dinner with them out that night, and Ohno accepted, saying if Jun was willing to go Ohno would love to go along. Which was odd in and of itself since Ohno never did things like that. He much preferred to go home and not be social. Since Ohno and Jun were going, Ishihara agreed to go along, since it was not often one got to go out with 2/5th of Arashi, she had said with a laugh, standing a little too close to Ohno for Jun’s liking, but Jun would not make a big deal of it. She had a boyfriend, after all. Jun suggested that Eita invite his wife out if she could find someone to watch the baby, and Eita said he would look into it, pulling his phone out and making the call.
Eita came back smiling. “She agreed, and was pleased that MatsuJun would think of her. The filming takes up a lot of my time, and I feel bad not being home as often with her as I should be.” Eita’s voice was light. “She was with her mom, so her mom will watch the baby for a while.” He made sure to invite others of the cast along, and that was how Jun ended up having the oddest dinner he could remember. While Eita his wife Kimura Kaela, Oizumi Yo, and Ishihara Satomi, Jun and Ohno were present nothing significant was discussed. Unusually Ohno sat across from Jun instead of beside him like they would normally do, chatting with Ishihara, and Jun chatted with Oizumi and Eita and his wife, watching Ohno who was oddly social that evening. For someone who could go twenty minutes or longer into their shooting without speaking, he was downright talkative this evening. It was not that Ohno was flirting, since Jun knew how he did that, but he was paying a lot of attention to Ishihara, and it was then that Jun realized that Ohno’s plan for the evening was. Ohno was trying to make Jun jealous. The more he thought about it, the more he realized how utterly ridiculous the entire situation was.
He had done nothing wrong. He was doing nothing wrong. And yet he was being made to feel horrible about this role, and this choice of work, in an effort to keep Ohno happy. Happy about something that was unmerited. He was being treated like he HAD cheated on Ohno, and nothing of the sort had, or would happen.
Jun could play the game that Ohno was playing, asking Kimura if she was ever jealous of Eita’s interaction with his co-workers. He could ask Ishihara-san if she would want to be on scene with her boyfriend if he was shooting a love scene with a co-worker, but that would betray her confidence (as she had asked him in confidence her opinion of her current boyfriend as he had acted with him in the past) and it would bring to light that Jun was in a relationship with someone. He did not want to endanger Arashi, or his relationship by asking those kinds of questions.
And at the same time, he had nothing that he needed to defend against.
He and Ohno would talk when they got home, that was certain.
As dinner ended and everyone packed up, Jun had already arranged for his manager to come pick them up. Eita offered to call them a taxi but Jun waved it off.
“My manager will be here in a few moments. As our managers all have each others schedules, Riida and I will both confirm out schedules before we are each dropped off.” Jun made sure not to indicate that they were going to the same place, and Eita nodded, waving at them before heading out with his wife, and Ishihara and Oizumi caught a taxi together, as they both lived the same general direction.
“Did you have fun tonight?” Jun kept his voice light as they stood on the street, waiting for his manager and Ohno hmmed his agreement, swaying to the side for a brief moment to touch his shoulder to Jun’s before straightening.
“Your co-workers are nice people.” His voice was soft and Jun nodded.
“They are. Very dedicated to their job. It was also nice that Kimura-san was able to come out with us.” Jun Ohno hmmed again, his eyes focused on nothing that Jun could tell.
“Satoshi.” Jun’s voice was soft and Ohno did shift, glancing at him for a moment. “Why are you doing this? Why now?”
“What do you mean?” Ohno asked, his gaze surprisingly sharp beneath the droopy gaze, his mouth hidden behind his scarf but Jun was quite certain that the older man was pouting slightly. “I am not doing anything.”
“Arashi has been together for so long, and we have been together for half of that. Why are you acting possessive and clingy now? Why are you trying to make me jealous? Since when has they ever been us?” Jun knew his voice, though soft, carried to Ohno as the other stiffened.
“I am not doing anything of the sort.” Ohno’s voice was grumpy, and Jun could see the set of his jaw that he was pouting. “I just want to spend time with you.” His voice was softer and Jun sighed, running across his face for a moment.
“With the way you have been acting, the way that I feel I have to justify my job to keep you happy, I just get the feeling that you don’t trust me anymore, since work has always been work, and yet…” Jun’s voice trailed off. He knew this was not the place to have this conversation, but having come to the realization of the unfairness of the situation, he needed to at least start the conversation.
“Don’t be silly Jun. I-“ Ohno stopped as Jun’s manager pulled up, and Jun opened the door, letting Ohno get in first. Jun was bent inside the car but he did not get in.
“I am sorry to trouble you but I have a few more things to take care of tonight. Thank you for taking Satoshi home.” Jun smiled at his manager wearily and the man’s eyes narrowed slightly, but he nodded. That phrase had been long developed between them during Jun’s younger tumultuous days when Jun’s thoughts and emotions were getting the better of him and he just needed to calm down, though it was not something he had used recently.
“Jun?” Ohno asked, a hand reaching out and grasping at the front of Jun’s jacket, and Jun could see a hint of worry in his expression, hear it in his voice.
“Don’t worry. I just need to think about some things. I’ll be home later.” Jun shifted out of the car and closed the door, glad that his manager had the vehicle moving before Ohno decided to get out of the car and continue the conversation. Jun wondered if it was all in his head, if he was imagining this kind of behavior, yet he was certain that he was not.
Walking down the street, Jun pulled his phone out, making a phone call, the caller picking up almost immediately.
“Hey Sho-kun, its Jun. I know it’s late but can I come over?” Jun waited a moment as he heard the other shifting around, and the telltale crinkle of newspapers closing.
“Is something wrong?”
“I just needed your opinion on something, that is all.” Jun evaded, though he was certain that Sho knew that something was wrong.
“The place is a mess, but you know you are always welcome. It must be pretty serious for you to call this time of night though.” Sho’s voice was calm, and when Jun didn’t answer he continued. “Oh, I am in my pajamas, but that is nothing you haven’t seen before.”
“I am sorry to disturb you then. See you soon.” Jun hung up the phone and slipped it into his pocket before waving down a taxi.
Of all of them, Sho had noticed that something was off with Ohno, and he tried to be unbiased in his assessment of things. He would be the perfect one to figure out if this was all in Jun’s head, though he knew that it was not.
