To breathe your scent in,
Tasting sweat and rain mixed
I kiss your injured soul
Hoping to see a golden light,
Hoping somehow that I am it;
To crawl deep inside of you
And die a little death,
Ecstasy over and over
Until living and dying were combined,
Until we melted into one.
To fall asleep, arms entangled,
Skin on skin - so warm and soft
Like a blanket you are -
Afraid of ever letting go,
Afraid to wake from this dream.
