I wrote this song only about 2 or 3 days into me and my girlfriend's relationship. The year was '04, and the month was December. We had just begun to get moving with our relationship when her ex boyfriend wanted her to come back. Confused as to who to chose, she began to act very strangely. From this I could tell that I was losing her to him, so in my frustration, I wrote this song for her. I gave it to her and she said that she liked it, but that I shouldn't have sent it to her. That was no bein to hear, but at least it may have made her think a little bit more. The inspiration for this song was her being so troubled and I just really wanted to let her know that I would be there for her. All in all, she dumped me for him after about only 3 or 4 days of our relationship. It did serve it's purpose though. It got into her head, and it may have been one of the factors that brought her back to me. Last I checked, this song was marked as a favorite memory on her livejournal.
