So yesterday, our Colo provider's Chicago main router crashed, for no apparent reason.  I noticed because one of my off-site monitors paged me.  I called, they said it was unknown cause... and it came back online in about 10 minutes.  Yeah, no redundancy, but all in all a blip.

Recommendation for a lawyer in Chicago who can handle DMCA and internet stuff? Remember the guy who sued google for $10 billion? Now he's after ED. Ugh.

Heh. I'd love a note with Colo provider's name - I'm keeping a list of them as whom I'd rather not use again. ;-)

Last time I had an upstream provider crash on me, their tech finally confessed that they'd smoked a Juniper OC48 near Dulles airport and they couldn't see the East Coast. Had to feel a *little* sorry for them, the thing probably ran close to a million bucks...
