Sweet!
Looks like the whole 'not calling in to work' thing has paid off. The GM's assistant is leaving, so Juan is taking her place and I'll be taking Juan's as front desk manager. Unfortunately it will most likely be salaried, which means that I'll probably be at work even more, and will lose my overtime.
Of course, other than orchestra, all of my classes will be online this semester, so I should be able to do all of my schoolwork at work.
In science news, anyone have any thoughts about this? Sounds like we'll have to wait for two or three weeks to find out what exactly is going on, but anything big enough to brief the president's science advisor on before revealing to the public should be interesting!
And of course, there's the LHC starting up in about five days. Should be some very exciting months coming up! Oh, and Amara, try not to get any of that strange matter on you when you're in Europe while this thing's running!
