Precipitation, operating systems, morse code and, of course, AFL...

That was some rain an hour ago.  It was practically heading sideways.  Our parking lot is flooded and about six people walked in at about the same time for rooms.

I'm quite glad that I made the switch over to Ubuntu, but I'm having a terrible time getting Wine to work.  I can't wait to get back into Team Fortress 2 now that the 'Pyro Fever' has died down a bit!

It was a slow day at work so I didn't learn any new morse code characters; I'm still at 13.  When it's particularly quiet I can receive them at 6wpm, which is twice the speed that you start at when first learning.  If you're at all curious about just how morse code works, this interesting website shows 'alphabets' for various languages.

And finally, it seems that Adelaide were (yes, that's the correct grammar when speaking of sports in Britain and the commonwealths) crushed this round.  Oh well; there's always next week!  If anyone is at all interested in watching some AFL  (Aussie Rules Football), let me know and we'll set up a screening.  The more the merrier!
