When they reach the stalls where their horses have been staying both are saddled and ready. Billy having full confidence in his persuassive abilities and in Doc.
"Not far. At the bottom of the canyon in a wash. It'll take Garrett an his men a while to find a way down, they won't be usin our route after all, an won't risk ridin the steep trails in the dark."
"Makes enough sense," Doc agrees, before he leads his horse outside and to a spot a few paces away from the barn, taking a minute to check the saddle before he hauls himself up onto the mount and gets comfortable, reins in his hand.
"While we may be rested, the rest of the boys could use a break."
