Hello people!
I got up this morning, excited.
Today was tattoo day. :] I did some yoga before getting ready and heading out. I wasn't looking forward to being stuck at work all day, but I knew I had the tattoo waiting for me at 4:00. When I got to work, Mark gave me some awful news. He and Brian talked and they had to let me go. His exact words were, "I hate to tell you this and I really wish I didn't have to..."
He also said, "If you need a reference, just let me know, I'll be glad to give you one," and "If business picks back up, we'll give you a call and have you come back." I really appreciated that it wasn't a personal thing and that he made that clear, but I was still depressed. I almost started crying. I mean, I need this job. I was pretty low the rest of the time, and I only stayed until noon.
Mark actually said I could leave at 9:00 if I wanted to, but they had given me work to do before telling me that they were letting me go, and I wanted to get that done. I did work and killed time til noon, when I headed out for the last time. I left a note on Brian's desk, thanking him for the job and asking him to keep me in mind in the future if things pick up. I stopped to get a salad to bring home for lunch.
Then I went to the car repair guy and made my final payment. :] That was awesome to get off my back. When I got home, teh rents were outside working in the garden. I had called them earlier and told them that I was fired, so they knew already. I started crying when I joined mom on the front steps. I had been holding that in all morning and it was good to let it out, but I was still really sad. :(
We eventually went inside and I ate my salad. I watched Bridezillas while teh rents each took a shower and changed their clothes. Then, we watched Leverage. Once it was over, it was nearing 3:30, so we left to go to the tattoo parlor. When we got there, someone else was in Lloyd's chair, so we chatted for a while. About ten minutes later, Lloyd was done with the other lady and had me come over.
I explained the tattoo to him and he thought it was an awesome idea. He drew it up and OH EM GEE IT CAME OUT SO COOL. We got down to business. I'm not gonna lie, lol, it hurt. I mean, there were parts that weren't that bad, but there were a lot of parts that were quite painful, lol. :3 But it was so fucking worth it. Every time I looked down at the progress, I was like, "Yes. Fuck pain." XD

Lloyd was awesome, as usual, and quite reasonable, price-wise. He's just the coolest dude. <3 When it was done, went to the Hannaford across the street and picked up some groceries. I got some croutons cuz I had this idea of making chicken tenders breaded in croutons...I'm sure it's been done before, but I wanna try it, anyway. I got a grinder from a local pizza place on the way home.
We got there around 7:00 and watched Jeopardy! and whatnot. I took off my bandage, cleaned my tattoo and put some healing stuff on it, then we watched a few eps of 24. It was so great, I have been wanting to watch it all week. I took Nick to work, took a shower, watched Whose Line (where the title of this post is from) and now? I'm gonna get to bed. Lately, I'm so stoked to sleep. It's ridic.
Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
