You Prolly Think I Rode the Short Bus and Licked the Windows, Huh?
Hello people!
I don't remember much.
All I recall is that my alarm went off right at the perfect moment. Like, there was something bad in my dream and it was just about to happen when the alarm went off and woke me up. I got ready, got dressed and headed out in dad's car at 8:30. Work was fairly quiet this morning. I did my filing and whatnot, actually spent most of the time getting work done.
I was productive today (for once, lol). But I was depressed. I found out that a friend (from Green Mountain)'s mom passed away yesterday from cancer. It really made me sad. I didn't even know my friend's mother, but the whole situation just sucks and I actually started crying at work. *sigh* Around noon, I went and got myself some lunch. I talked to mom and she made me feel a little better, thankfully.
I had my lunch and brooded to myself. At one point, Boss Man commented that I should be making phone calls. I was on lunch. He could see me taking a bite of my salad. *shakes head* But, when I finished my lunch, I DID make the calls I had to make. All of them, in fact. And I felt good getting so much done, but I finished everything by 2:00 and had to kill an hour cuz I had nothing else to do, lol.
Thankfully, the afternoon was pretty mellow, too. Except for a bunch of people redeeming their cars and auction guys stopping by for a ton of cars, the office was chill. At 3:00, I finally went home. I was glad to get there, I just wanted to relax. Mom went to an appointment and I went up to my room for a while. I started a game of The Sims, but didn't get very far cuz I made five people and it took forever.
I talked to someone at Full Sail about the documents they needed, just to make sure they had everything. And they do! And I'm approved! I am officially a student of Full Sail University! :D Classes start next Monday! I'm so fucking excited, this program was practically hand-tailored to fit my needs. SERIOUSLY. <3 Mom came home about an hour later. Nick then asked if I would take him to Dunkin Donuts.
He and Ashley wanted to get out of the house. So, I drove them and mom came along for the ride. I got her an iced coffee while we were there, and a Coolatta for myself. I also got a donut for dad cuz he wasn't there, but I knew he would love to have one. We went back home and mom and I started watching True Grit. I actually liked what we saw (about the first hour), but mom didn't, so we turned it off.
I'm gonna get it on Netflix and watch the rest at some point. Dad was home by then, and he and mom had dinner. Nick wanted to be picked up around 7:00, so I went and got him and Ashley. We stopped for ice cream (for them, I was still working on my Coolatta, lol) and then went home. We watched Jeopardy! and I found this cool site with really awesome stuff and...well, I couldn't resist buying a couple things. :3
I bought two rings, both of which are fucking epic. I'll post pics when I get them. But there are so many other things on that site that I want, lol. Someday. X] We watched The Next Food Network Star after Jeopardy!, then I Survived..., then Say Yes to the Dress. WHEW. Lots of lazing about today. All good stuff. I had a small snack-like dinner, took a shower and now, here I am. I'm so ready for bed.
