Don't Go Inventing a Deity for Small Miracles
Hello people!
What a long day it's been.
I got up at 9:00 and got ready for school. Mom let me take her car, and along the way I stopped for coffee. It was particularly delicious. I got to school around 10:30 and studied for the test I had in the only class I had today, my Bones class. At 11:00, I went to class and we took the test. I think I did all right. *shrugs* I finished about fifteen minutes early and left.
I called mom, who informed me before I left that she and dad were gonna meet me at Wal*Mart and that I would take mom home cuz dad had to go to work. I did as we planned and we walked around for, like, an hour. Dad left halfway through, of course. Mom got me a new shirt and some new Milanos - Melts! They're quite tasty. We finally left and I stopped at Burger King for lunch.
I ate in the parking lot and then we went on home and put everything away. I helped mom make some food and watched a movie with her - Snow Cake. It was kinda...well...stupid. :3 But a few lines were funny, including the title of this post. After a while, we went into the living room and watched some TV while I stoked the fire and wrote. I got a fair amount of work done today, which made me quite content. :]
I also entered a contest that I found out about last night. I wrote the short story for it pretty quickly and submitted it today. The first place prize is $500! I wonder if I could bother you guys to vote for me? :3 Mine is "Dark Terminal," and for the moment, it's the first story that comes up. The way to vote is [a] leave a comment and [b] give me an "award." To do the latter, you have to click on my story.
It'll pull up the page, and above the title are the word "awards:" and two icons. One says "0" and the other shows a pencil. I think you click the pencil and that gives me an award. Please, please, please, help me win! I could really use that money, lol. :] Anywho, I submitted that and then started working on ANOTHER short story. I'm gonna make a short story compilation and make it available on Kindle soon.
I had chicken tortilla soup for dinner and took a bath at 8:30. Dad came home around 10:00 and teh rents and I watched Rules of Engagement, which was excellent. And now we're all going to bed. I've decided I want to get the leather pants and knee-high, lace-up boots that Freddy wears in New Nightmare, but I can't seem to find a website that says what brand/etc. they are.
I really want to get the right ones, not just ones that look kinda sorta similar. Dunno how I'm gonna find that info, but I'm determined to.
