Every Kid Knows Who Freddy Is; He's Like Santa Claus
Hello people!
I think I had a dream, but I barely remember it.
It was something about a party? Something...about a party in a hotel, and I had to get these two kids out...gah, I can't remember. Anywho, I got up around 10:00 this morning, and went downstairs. Mom had just gotten up, herself. I said hi to her and then took my shower. When I went up to my room, I started watching Wes Craven's A New Nightmare. I was really excited for it.
I liked the concept. I only got about half an hour into it when I figured I should go downstairs and see if mom needed me or wanted me for something. She didn't, she decided to take a shower and chill out, so I went back upstairs and watched the rest of the movie. It was excellent. I didn't particularly care for the babysitter scene, or for Freddy jumping out of the closet (I have a terrible fear of closets, lol).
But overall, I think it's my favorite. Or, it's at least high on the list. Title of this post is from it. After that, I only had one left; Freddy VS Jason. I decided to take a break, though, and go downstairs. Mom wanted me to hang out with her, anyway. She made me some lunch and then prepared dinner while we watched TV. Eventually, Nick came downstairs to play a new game he just got.
It's, as he said, one of the bloodiest games ever made (Splatterhouse is the name of it, btw). I decided to go upstairs while he played and started watching Freddy VS Jason. I was trying to avoid a lot of bloodshed but that wasn't much better, lol. :3 It was the fact that it's a newer movie, plus having Jason in the mix. Jason's movies are much bloodier, I think, than Freddy's (though I've not seen Friday the 13th).
And the fact that all the other Nightmare movies took place in the 80s helped, I think, to make them slightly less gory. I mean, there were some bad scenes, but not like some of the shit in FvJ, at least, as far as I can tell. Eh, maybe I'm biased for Freddy, lol. Anywho, the movie so far is kind of amusing, but I want more Freddy and less Jason. X] I paused it about forty minutes in when Nick called for me.
He was done playing and mom wanted me to come back downstairs. I did, and we watched random shit for a while, lol. Then mom made dinner and dad came home. We ate and watched this show, Celebrity Ghost Stories. Alice Cooper was on it! I fucking love him. He's so awesome. We flipped channels for a bit when that was over, then dad played MOH: Frontline. And that's where we are.
I assume we're going to bed pretty quickly here. I'm gonna finish the movie before I go to bed, though. It's kinda bittersweet, though, lol. This sounds crazy, but I'm actually gonna miss Freddy and the Nightmare movies. I dunno, it was just fun to be in that fucked-up world for a while, lol. *shrugs* Anywho, um, that's about it. I have to work from 12:30 til 6:15 tomorrow. GAH.
