I Wouldn't Be Caught Dead in That Dress! You'd Have to Be Dead Six Months to Fit into It

Dec 06, 2010 23:17

Hello people!

I had a dream that I no longer remember.

I knew it well when I got up, and even about an hour ago, I recalled the details, but I can't seem to think of them now, lol. *facepalm* I got up at 10:00 this morning and took a shower. Mom and I chilled together for a while. I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and then did some laundry. I got ready for work and mom took me a little early.

She had to be at the blood drive at the library at 1:00 cuz it was being run by local realtors and she wanted to participate. She helped people sign in and get to stations and whatnot. She loves doing that (she used to work for the Red Cross, I don't remember how long ago, but I was little). :] Work was boring and I had to put up new tags for cigarettes, which is a bitch, cuz you have to take out every pack.

See, the place where the tags go is on a little slidey, springy thing that's behind all the packs of cigs. So I had to take out every single one to put up the new tags (that is, once I was sure I'd matched the right tag to the right product). I fucking hate cigarettes, btw. I bought some candy that was on sale (for Christmas/stocking stuffers) and I swapped the shitty Kangaroo Keeper I'd gotten for a better one.

The new one has two in the box, like it's supposed to, and is black instead of tan. Yay! :D Mom picked me up from work and took me straight to the library. I had my Spider-Man t-shirt in mom's car, along with the book I'm reading about selling your show or screenplay. I can't remember what it's called right now...my brain is so dead, lol. Anywho, we went to the blood drive and I changed my shirt.

We did the finger-prick thing, the questions, and then I did the blood pressure thing. Which I failed. Twice. Apparently, my blood pressure is too high. That's the same problem I had last time I tried to donate, a few months ago. I dunno why it's so high. The only thing I can think of is stress, but honestly, I'm not that stressed out right now. I mean, I've definitely been worse. So I was bummed about that.

Dad joined us after work and he and mom could donate, so at least that worked out. The lady that took mom's blood was awesome. She was really funny and cool and just nice. :] I mentioned to mom that Castle was new tonight, and she inquired about it, so we told her. I, of course, said that Nathan Fillion was the main character, and when the lady went over to check on dad, this guy came up to us.

He was in his late 20s, early 30s, I think, and he was cute. He overheard us talking about Nathan Fillion and asked if I knew about Firefly and Serenity and whatnot. I explained that I knew about them but hadn't seen them, and then he mentioned Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It was awesome! :D I told him I love that and that there was a sequel coming out and we talked about that for a while.

Unfortunately, he later mentioned that he was engaged, lol. Oh well. XD He was really fun, though; just about everyone there was awesome. I love going to blood drives cuz the people there tend to be really cool. After that, mom took me to Burger King cuz I had a sudden craving for burgers. I got one and some fries and then we went home. I remembered when I got home that I'd left my water bottle at work.

I ate my dinner, then went back out and got my water bottle, and mom and dad ordered a pizza from Giavano's, so I picked that up on the way home. We watched Jeopardy!, then sorta flipped around. We were all falling asleep, so we decided to go to bed kinda early. Oh, I got my business cards today! :D They're so awesome! I'm gonna include one with every script I send to managers/agents.

Title of this post is from The Nanny. Time for bed, my dears. I got school tomorrow.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
