I Didn't Make Him for You
Hello people!
I had a totally bizarre dream.
I was gonna make Freddy Krueger kill someone for me. I don't know who and I don't know why, but I dreamt about going to sleep, lol, thinking that I had such a great plan. *shrugs* I just have no idea, lol. I got up at around 10:30 today. I took a shower and got ready for the day. Nick's GF had to go to work, so I gave her a ride. Nick rode with me and I gotta admit, he's fun to drive around.
He's just amusing and pretty chill in the car. When we got home, I wanted to help dad, but he was frustrated and we had an argument. I went back inside and I saw that there was a Rocky Horror marathon on today, so mom turned that on, lol. I stoked the fire and we watched the RHPS for a while (title of this post is from it). Then mom said she had to go to Wal*Mart and I said I wanted to drive out there by myself.
She was very hesitant, but she finally let me go. It was wonderful driving by myself. I quite like it. When I came home, dad had chilled out, so I went right out to the garage and helped him set things up. Eventually, I took a break to make the dinner: mexican meatloaf. We were trying to do it in the shape of a hand, but it just did not come out right. I'm gonna try again next year, now that I have a better idea of what to do.
I went back out and helped dad for a bit. About an hour later, we had dinner real quick, then went to the garage and did our stuff! We each had a part in the haunted house: I ran the fog machines by the entrance and jumped out at people as they walked in, Nick sat hidden behind a wall and dropped a clown that was hanging from the ceiling as people walked by, and dad jumped out as people exited.
AND, mom led people in - she had to tell them which side to go in and she sorta yelled "new victims!" when people came in so I would know when to set off the fog. It worked great! We got more people than last year, but definitely not enough. We just gotta advertise more, I guess. *shakes head* We decided to close up shop around 8:30. We watched Undercover Boss and now, here we are.
Last night, I was checking out Robert Englund's website (lol shut up) and I saw a pumpkin-carving contest! The jack-o-lanterns didn't have to be of Freddy, so I submitted the three pumpkins I did last year and the one I did this year. I got an email today notifying me that my pumpkins are up on the website in the contest photo album! :D I checked and they're there! I dunno why, but it excites me, lol!
I hope I win! Honestly, not cuz the prizes are so amazing (although they're pretty cool), but mostly cuz I'm proud of my pumpkins. :] Anywho, um, here's a video of me walking through our haunted house. Sorry about the dark spots - we made the garage pretty dark and I don't have a night-vision function on my camera, so I just had to walk through the darkness, recording. :\
I'll put up the pics dad took of all the decorations tomorrow. :]
