Like a Snowflake in a Fiery Grip

Hello people!

I don't recall my dreams from last night.

I was up until 4:00, reading about Kingdom Hearts - not just the first and second games, but also Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep. I also read about the media/merch that came out in promotion of the games, as well as what was released here versus what was released in Japan (they got way more, which infuriates me). The story is just so incredible.

I love it so much - probably a little more than I should. I desperately want a novel written that tells the story of each game. I think it'd be great, not just because the story's so entertaining and interesting, but also cuz three of those games were released exclusively on other platforms (rather than for PS2 or PS3) and Birth by Sleep is only available in Japan right now, and even then, it's only available on PSP (or so Nick told me).

So for those of us who can't play the other games (I refuse to play Chain of Memories - you battle with cards instead of actually fighting) can still get the story by reading it. Okay, I'm rambling now, um, anywho, I slept until 11:11 this morning. I rushed downstairs and noted that dad was at work, but mom was in the shower, so I sat on the couch and flipped through a magazine while waiting for her to come out.

She finally did and informed me that she was taking me out to have a day of fun. :D It was a total surprise and I was ridiculously excited, lol. XD I hopped in the shower and got ready to go right quick and we headed out around 12:30. We went to a shop mom wanted to check out that sold kitchen stuff. She got a funky mustard from Stonewall Kitchen that she's stoked to use, lol. We went to lunch next.

We were gonna go to Panera, but when we got there, we noticed a Giavanno's right next to it. Giavanno's is my FAVORITE pizza place EVER. They have the best strombolis, OMG. So mom and I decided to go there instead. It was fantastic, as usual. We had half of each of our strombolis left over, lol. XD After lunch, we went to Pier One, however briefly. We bopped around quickly and then went to Barnes&Noble.

We sat there for a good two hours, reading books and drinking coffee. Favorite thing to do EVER. <3 There are notebooks sold at B&N that are designed by the Savannah College of Art and Design. They are exquisitely beautiful and refreshingly different, and I collect them. When we went to B&N today, I saw that there was a new notebook design and I had to get it, lol. So I did. Totally worth it.

I got my ushe coffee and mom and I read Time Magazine and a book that had a bunch of facts about New York that were ridiculously interesting. New York is such a cool place. :] And hot damn, I fucking miss my subscription to Time. I'm gonna have to re-subscribe when I can pay for it myself. Anywho, we had to stop at the grocery store real quick before going home, and I got some Gobstoppers while there.

Mom also got me some Wheat Thins, which I've been wanting for weeks. :D We got some candy and soda for Nick and candy and beer for dad, lol, and then we went home. We chilled for a while; dad and Nick played some video games. Nick then begged that he and teh rents go to GameStop and trade in games to get God of War III. I didn't wanna go with cuz I felt a little upset about the whole situation.

Nick keeps asking for games (and getting them) and I've been specifically not asking for Heavy Rain (even though I desperately want it) cuz I know about our monetary situation and suchwhich. Mom and dad know I want it, but I told them that I can wait. And I can, but the reason I say things like that is to save mom and dad money. What good is that if Nick keeps asking them for expensive video games?

Moving on, um, so, the fam went to GameStop and got God of War III...and Heavy Rain. :3 They surprised me with it! I know I don't say it very often - this is my place to complain - but I really do love my family and they really are awesome people. Mom told me that Nick agreed that I should be able to get my game and he insisted on giving me the game cuz he wanted to be the one to surprise me. <3

Sometimes, he's so fucking sweet, I can't believe it. We watched Jeopardy! and had dinner and then Nick played God of War III til 11:00, lol. And now, here we are. I didn't have a good title for this post, so I used a line from my fave song from Nightmare Before Christmas (Nick started randomly singing it tonight, so the use of said line isn't completely out-of-the-blue). Okay, Kingdom Hearts, then bed. XD

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
