I Already Think of You as Brain-Dead

Hello people!

Last night, I was up at 1:00 AM reading fanfics. Ever since I saw the Supernatural epsiode, Hookman, I've been a little frightened bout the dark at night. So, when something on the other side of the room randomly just fell to the floor, I freaked out a little. I decided against investigating the noise, because, well, come on, like I'm gonna get up in the darkness to check out some unidentified sound.

Come to find out this morning, at 11:53, when I got up, that the sound was simply a DVD falling off the shelf (which actually happens rather often). I don't get why, but it really does happen a lot. Anywho, I woke up at 4:30 AM, then 6:30 AM, then finally got up at noon.

I read a couple fanfics first thing, and then watched The Daily Show and The Colbert Report that I had recorded. I've still got two left to watch, but I'll try to get 'em done tomorrow. But MAN, the ones I watched today were SO FUNNY! The Colbert Report with R.E.M. was hilarious, with him and that "codpiece" CD, hahaha. And The Daily Show where John Oliver was naming all those soldiers and whatnot with funny names, and Jon was cracking up...just pure gold.

STEPHEN COLBERT and JON STEWART are in the lead for Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People! HELLS to the YEAH! Stephen's first and Jon's second, ahead of Rain. Bwahahaha!

Um, so, my parents watched Knocked Up. I wanted to see it, but I knew it'd be inappropriate, so I said I was gonna watch it by myself, trying to avoid awkward parental dirty jokes (which are bound to occur after such a movie). Turns out, my parents *hated* the movie and don't want me to see it. *sigh* My mother said it was, and I quote, "retarded and offensive to women."

Firstly, I don't really give a damn that it's 'offensive to women,' as long as the jokes are funny (which I'm sure they are). Secondly, I know exactly what kind of movie it would be cuz I know what kind of movies the writers of it produce. OF COURSE it was gonna be inappropriate and stupid humor, but that's the point. I'm sure that if my parents had seen Blades of Glory prior to my individual viewing of it, they'd have forbade me to see it. I personally think it's hilarious, but my parents would definitely find the humor idiotic and completely unfunny. Oh, well.

We watched another two episodes of Supernatural today (Bloodlust and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things). The former I'd actually seen already. I dunno how, but I did. And the latter was just plain weird, lol. Necromancy and killer zombie girlfriends? Yeah, pretty crazy, lol. And kinda sad...the ending with Dean being all teary and crying was really sad. I felt *so bad* for him.

GAH! Eli Stone was SO FREAKING GREAT tonight! Wow, I mean, WOW. It's just...yeah, it was really good. ***LOVES VICTOR GARBER*** That's about all I have to say about it.

Explanation of title: Tis from the Eli Stone episode for tonight. Eli was telling "The Dowd" bout how after his anneurism removal surgery, he might become a vegetable (and, therefore, be brain-dead). The Dowd replied with, "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I already think of you as brain-dead." I found it amusing.

Grawr, I still have homework to do. I have to write a Michael Crichton mini-bio paper, which is fine, I think I can get it done before midnight if I focus, but I totally called it this morning; I knew that I'd put it off til the last minute, I just couldn't bring myself to work on it today, lol. I'm half considering skipping out on school tomorrow. I doubt mom and dad would let me, though, so it's more of a 60/40 consideration rather than a 50/50, lol.

Juno comes out on DVD Tuesday. I didn't see it in theaters, but I *desperately* wanna see it now, so we're gonna get it, lol. My mom wants to see it, too. So, yeah.

T'seems that story posting FINALLY worked, which I'm thrilled about, although no one in the community I posted it in has commented at all. I usually get at least two or three comments within the first hour of my posting a story on other communities. I guess I'm just a tad surprised, lol. Wow, that makes me sound really cocky...I think...

I'm gonna get crackin on that homework.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
