Stephen Colbert Doesn't Get Turned On; He Turns Himself On
Hello people!
I didn't get up to my alarm today. It was kinda weird, I didn't really realize it was time to get up. I thought it was a snow day, but LAWLZ, we barely got any snow last night. *shakes head*
People went to the Variety Show (talent show) today, so we didn't do a whole lot (what else is new, right?). We critiqued our panoramic pictures in photo and then chilled, so I listened to Stephen/WHAM all period. In math, we took some notes and that's about it. Most of the class was still at the Variety Show.
AP Gov. was cool. We did current events and, of course, got side-tracked from doing anything of value and basically just talked. We discussed how dumbed-down school is now because of how much the administration and district baby everyone. Then we talked about how teens still need hugs, even if they're getting to be "young adults." Then we had a group hug. YAY! :D
We had a sub in forensics so we did absolutely NOTHING. It was great. And I took a day off from the zine working in MindCandy and chilled with the awesome buds in that class (half of them weren't working on their zines either). We totally listened to WHAM and A-Ha and it was fantastically wonderful. God, I love that class.
Mom picked me up and we went home right away. I hopped online real quick til about 2:30 and then we went to Wal*Mart (Vision Center) cuz I had an eye appointment today! :D My eyes totally got worse since my last appointment, but what else is new, lol? I got new contacts AND new glasses! WHOOT! I really wanted Stephen glasses, but they were too expensive. :'( I did get some cool frames, though. I'll post a pic when I get them; they have to order the lenses, of course.
Mom had to go to an appointment, so I finished up with my eye stuff and then dad came to the store so we could do some shopping. We got some groceries (including Americone Dream to eat whilst watching the Colbert Christmas Special on Sunday! :DDD) and I picked up a Santa hat and two new shirts! AND, we got the same lawn-Santa that Clark Griswold has in Christmas Vacation! WIN!
We came home and chilled for, like, half an hour, then mom and I went back out to rent Tropic Thunder from Blockbuster cuz we couldn't wait any longer to see it again, lol. So now we're watching it. GOD this movie rocks SO FUCKING HARD. <3 The title of this post is from a fic written by st_secular. It is HILARIOUS (and kinda hot-ish), so you should read it.
