An Angry, Ranting Liberal

Hello people!

Okay, so. EVERYONE has been posting that Keith Olbermann vid. You know which one I'm talking about. Special Comment.

I've been avoiding it. I tend to avoid things that are popular among everyone cuz I don't like popular things very much. Plus, people kept saying it made them cry. I hate crying.

But I finally watched it. There really ( Read more... )

xD That's why I said in my post that I don't watch him [only the occasional youtube clip] but I thought that this bit was great.
Sometimes he's too crazy for me.

He said every single thing in my heart that I could never put into words. Everything was perfect. Wonderful.

Yeah, that pretty much summed up the video and I can't put it any better than that, so I won't attempt to.

Dude, normally, I can't really stand Keith. Like, at all, but this bit made me want to like him. Everything that came out of his mouth for that shining moment, seemed to some up every argument I've ever made to anyone against gay marriage.

The whole Prop 8 (et al) thing upsets me so much. Because it won't hurt anyone for gay people to have the chance to be happy. That's all they want. Happiness, and the whole religious excuse is an argument that is getting really overused and overdone and it's stupid, for multiple reasons.

GRRR!

Haha I know I don't have to tell you. :D

Ugh, Keith Olbermann can fuck me now. For a tiny, gay, love-filled second. And then I'll remember that he's only tepid compared to Stephen/Jon ;)

But, yeah. Seriously. He said it all. I mean, religious fanatics won't listen to him. They're not going to be convinced by this one crazy liberal on MSNBC preaching to them about their own religion. We have to admit that this time, democracy worked against us. But that doesn't make was he said null or not valuable and true -- we have to keep fighting for that little bit of happiness that could really change someone's life.

HAHAHAHA YES! XD

He really did. True, unfortunately. It did indeed. Exactly. Yes, everyone deserves a chance to be happy. <3

Lol.

Yeah, seriously. I actually never thought of it that way before -- my argument was mostly based on separation of church and state and tax benefits, but that love thing is...powerful.
