So tomorrow I will be making my first visit to New York City, ever. We're going to the
King Tut Exhibition. ("We" is Matt, Katherine and I, Matt's mom and stepdad, his brother Will, and I know not who else-I think that's all).
It'll be interesting; NYC has always, for me, been an obstacle. It's been between where I was (usually Boston) and where I was headed (usually Washington DC) or the reverse. So my feelings about the city have been colored by that-I didn't like the place, without knowing anything about it. I knew it was irrational, but I couldn't help it. Hopefully I can put that to rest a bit.
May also visit the Apple Store on 5th Ave. Black Friday sales are reputed to be coming even unto Apple-if the price is right, might get an iPad :-)
(Also-or if that doesn't work out, I may be finding a Verizon store and getting an Android phone. Tired of the Blackberry, and don't like the iPhone for form factor reasons (long story, basically "It's too small for my fingers"). Android may be the next phone-see how that works).
