I've been looking back at the past month or two, and that I've got dreadfully behind on knitting projects and television watching. Ah, well, hopefully there'll be a nice lull and I can get some knitting done AND catch up on crap telly.
Here are some of the latest train wrecks I've been watching on the telly:
My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. I had seen the right-pond equivalent of this. Somehow the American edition manages to be even more of a train wreck than the British version. I believe my favourite was the wedding between a young man called Pee-Wee and a young woman named Christy. Christy had the totally boffo bouffant wedding gown that had to have been more than a meter across. It was white with an orange (!) swirl on the front. Pee-Wee stole the show, though. Bright orange tuxedo (fresh from a bag), trainers, backward cap, tall can of Budweiser in one hand and cigarette in the other. Chavtastic doesn't even begin to describe it - but I love it.
Maury. Again, chavtastic doesn't begin to do it justice. Sure, the subjects get a bit monotonous at times - but the clothes! The hair! The nails!
Little Women of Los Angeles. I feel so guilty for this one, but it's fascinating.
So, my friends, what are your favorite telly guilty pleasures?
Toby doesn't care about the telly. He can get awfully interested in my knitting, though.
