Sounding the depths of the knowledge pool here, guys:
Has anyone done an environmental impact comparison of e-book readers (Kindle, Nook, etc.) vs. ink-and-pulp books?
It's no mystery that initially, the digital reader has a higher impact, but I imagine that there's a reading pace at which it begins to be a good deal for the earth, even compared to say, a lending library past walking distance.
