I just finished reading Sean's report of Obama's Grant Park event and acceptance speech. I think it awesome that a family member was on the spot. I felt proud of his ability to so clearly present a picture.
Dad and I were watching and listening carefully to the events of the night as PBS presented them. We could not help thinking about Grandpa Nesmith's reaction to the events of yesterday. Even though we could not see him, I think we can all picture his excitement and joy. Grandmy Nesmith would be quieter about it but she would have shared our hope that Obama, as leader of the United States, will guide with better awareness and judgment.
I felt that last night brought families closer together as well as uniting our country. I look forward to hearing all of the Obama Night experiences and stories of our family, friends and neighbors, near and far.
