Who: Ianto
notjustateaboy, Captain Harkness
realcaptjack, Owen
docisin and Jack
thedashinghero Guest appearances by Doyle, Captain John, Tosh!puter and the Master.
When: Today! JUST NOW!
Where: The Hub, specifically the tourist information centre which hides the Hub.
What: The refugees coming back to their planet, the Captain telling Ianto that he loves him, Owen catching them, Own and Ianto trying to kill each other again, Jack coming home, Much emo and cuddles.
Why: We’ve all seen the final episode of the season now. We couldn’t resist. Maybe a PG13/R. Obviously, this has Doctor Who spoilers.
The vortex swirled as the figures walked out of the light. Back onto the returned planet Earth. The captain took the suited man beside him disappearing into a grandfather clock before they disappeared before the others were left at the water tower.
Jack glanced around at the scorch marked, broken area with a soft frown. The Daleks had clearly left their mark, leaving Owen and Doyle to their own devices, he broke into a run to the tourist information cabin, not trusting to use the 'fancy' entrance, pushing open the partly-on-it's-hinges door. "Ianto? Gwen?"
The Welshman looked up from the table he was righting and looked over, "Jack?" He called
The older man let out a relived breath, running over and pulling Ianto into a tight hug. "Are you alright?"
Ianto smiled his dusty arms coming up around him "I'm alright," he murmured. "We were wondering if you lot were alright, I couldn’t get through on your phone, were you in the flat? Have you seen Owen?"
"No, we were...umm", Jack coughed, "On another planet. With strange fish people. We're all okay, Owen, Doyle and Tosh in the computer were there. Captain John just brought us home"
"John? He didn't do anything to you did he?" Ianto asked worriedly
"No", Jack chuckled softly, looking at him, "He just brought us home"
He leaned back, taking in the Welshman's features before frowning worriedly. "It looks like....well, the Blitz happened again out there", he said, "Did they get in?"
Ianto's smile faded and he dusted his hands setting the tray back on the table. "Yeah, but we're alright Tosh had a last defence on the Hub. It locked us in a time pocket. He couldn’t get in."
Jack nodded, closing his eyes thankfully. "Oh, I'm glad, I was scared I'd lost you", he whispered, then looked at him, "Have you heard from James?"
He smiled and nodded happily, "He's coming back. They used the rift to help pull Earth home. He was with the doctor."
"Oh good", Jack smiled, nodding, "I'm just glad everyone's alright.. It was awful being stuck there, not being able to help, not knowing what was happening..."
He pulled Ianto in for another tight hug.
"I don't know what I'd have done if I'd lost you"
Ianto blinked at him in surprise before turning his head his fingers stroking Jack's cheek tenderly. "I had no idea really what was going on outside these walls. It was ...there was a point where it seemed hopeless...where all we could do was fight and die instead of simply dying."
Jack leaned into his touch with a sigh.
"I know that feeling only too well", he murmured, before his eyes flicked open, leaning in and giving him a deep, loving kiss.
The Welshman smiled sadly kissing him back deeply his fingers threading into the hair at the back of his neck. "Sixty years and it must seem like some things never change." He whispered.
Jack rested his forehead against Ianto's with a sad smile. "I'll admit, I was getting a few flashbacks when I saw the mess of outside", he whispered softly, “But for once we weren't fighting amongst our fellow human beings"
Ianto moved his arms around him comfortingly, "I suppose that’s a small comfort." He replied his eyes looking into his. "You've gotten very fond of me quite quickly haven't you?"
Jack smiled softly, his thumb tracing Ianto's cheek. "Yes, I tend to do that", he admitted, "Though where you're concerned I really can't help myself"
He watched him quietly a moment.
"I think I've gone beyond 'very fond' now"
He blushed softly his eyes flicking down "Really?"
Jack watched him, before placing his hand under Ianto's chin, raising his head to face him.
"I love you, Ianto Jones", he said gently, "Very much"
The blue eyed boy stared at him blinking "Oh...oh." He whispered before leaning in and kissing him deeply
Jack smiled, returning the deep kiss, pulling the younger man close.
Ianto whimpered deepening it, pressed up against him, his hands resting on Jack's arms
Jack leaned against the desk, supporting Ianto in his arms, sighing into the kiss, his tongue brushing against the Welshman's gently.
Ianto whimpered his hands grasping Jack's tie, pulling him in closer his mouth plundering the soldier's. He leaned against him moaning softly.
Jack shivered at the moan, his hands moving to splay on Ianto's back, moving to sit on the edge of the desk, pulling Ianto partly into his lap.
The younger man sat on his lap before loosening Jack's tie and pulling at his shirt his hands seeking warm skin.
Jack let out a low moan of his own into their heated kiss, his hands moving under Ianto's jacket, finding his rear with a groan.
He whimpered moving his rear into it before pulling off his jacket, his waistcoat shifting as he moved. His fingers making short work of Jack's buttons opening them.
Jack whimpered, sitting further back, pulling Ianto closer, squeezing his rear lightly.
"OH BLOODY HELL YOU'VE ONLY BEEN IN HERE FIVE FUCKING MINUTES!", came a very loud London accent from the doorway.
Ianto shifted forward his hands sliding Jack’s shirt off his shoulders before coming to a stop. His eyes widening before he jumped off the other man smoothing out his clothes and glaring at Owen.
Jack coughed, flushing as he put his shirt back on properly.
Owen arched one eyebrow, leant against the doorway and smirked. "Oh, I'm going to love the explanation for this one", he said, "Did the Captain swallow a paperclip and you were trying to get it out with your tongue?"
Ianto huffed, "It's none of your business Owen." He replied sharply giving a sharp tug on his waistcoat.
"And here's me thinking Jack was being sodding over the top", said Owen, glaring at Ianto, "You hypocritical bastard"
"Hey, now", frowned Jack, standing.
Ianto scowled, "I didn't plan this. I believed what I said and felt back then."
"And it's taken you, wot, a month to fall into another bloke's pants?", asked Owen, snorting, "Sure you did, Jones, sure you did"
"Leave him alone, Harper", said Jack with a frown, moving a little in front of Ianto.
"Oh, you can sod off too, Captain Past-Tense"
Ianto shook his head resting a hand on Jack's shoulder pushing him back a little. "Owen unlike you I don't just fling myself at anything walking past on two legs”.
Owen's eyes narrowed. "I fucking stopped that after Diane, you bastard, you know I did. I'm not sodding like that anymore"
"No? We'll see." He replied with a frown. "You do not have a right to sit in judgement on me. I followed this ONLY with Jack's blessing"
"Don't make me fucking hit you, Jones, I'm not in the fucking mood", Owen growled, "Oh, well, throw a fucking parade for Mr. Sodding Wonderful. I didn't have much of a fucking chance when it happened to me"
"Would it have even stopped you? I doubt you had as much consideration for Rhys."
"Oh, here we fucking go with Gwen", Owen scowled, "She came to me, Ianto. Not the other way around"
“It takes two people Owen, Or were you saying you both happened to be naked when she tripped and fell on you multiple times?"
Owen arched a brow, watching him with a smirk. "At least neither of us were engaged with a baby on the way when we did it"
Ianto scowled and flew at him, "Fucking bastard."
"And here we go", said Jack with a resigned sigh.
Owen scowled, meeting him with a punch. "Wot? Can't handle the fucking truth?", he sneered at him, "You have a fucking go about monogamy all you sodding want, but you're the one that's doing fucking worse here"
"The truth, the truth is, is that you're a small pathetic little man who's only way to make himself feel content is to tear down the happiness of others. I don't fucking care what you think."
Owen snarled, giving Ianto a shove. "Fuck off, Jones, you keep saying you fucking know me, but you haven't got a fucking clue", he said, "Don't fucking have a go at me because you're not as sodding brilliant as you think you are"
Jack pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'll just be waiting outside while you two kill each other, please don't spill too much blood around"
Ianto shoved him back glaring at him, "I never said I was brilliant."
"Oh fuck off, you're always so self fucking righteous", snapped Owen, slamming him against the wall, scattering Cardiff event posters everywhere, "Looking fucking down on the rest of us. Well, welcome to the fucking dirt pile, Ianto"
Jack shook his head at them, stepping outside the door, shutting it behind them, leaving them too it.
Ianto kicked him before socking him across the jaw. "Just cos you feel fucking inferior don't blame that on me"
Owen reeled back with a growl, before kneeing the Welshman in the stomach. "Oh, you'd fucking love it if I felt like that, you wanker", he snarled, "But you know what? I fucking don't. 'Cause at the end of the day, you're still nothing but a tea boy"
"I am NOT just a tea boy”, he coughed bending over as he stumbled.
"Yes you fucking are", scowled Owen, "Following Jack around like a fucking puppy begging for fucking scraps. You even had to beg to get a sodding job here"
"That was for Lisa, you fucking prick." He yelled shoving him.
Owen growled, shoving him back, despite the large height difference, “Sorry, I don’t have any sympathy for something that tried to sodding kill us all”
Ianto yelled sweeping his legs from under him "Don't you dare talk about her like that." He glared furious
Jack opened the door to the tourist information entrance of the hub. Mickey had stopped off somewhere for a bite to eat, giving Jack some alone-time with his team before joining them, which he was grateful for. He wasn't, however, grateful for the site in front of him. In fact, he was just a little bit pissed off. "Somebody'd better explain what the HELL is going on here," he growled.
Owen hit the ground with a thud, growling. "What does it fucking look like?"
Ianto scowled pulling out a handkerchief and wiping his lip. "He..." Ianto shook his head. "He caught me with Jack and then called me a hypocrite. No worse than a hypocrite."
Jack rolled his eyes. "I thought we were all over this. Ianto has my permission, Owen, there's no need to go flying at him. And you two need both to grow the fuck up and stop pummelling each other all the time like teenagers. Also, a 'Hi Jack, welcome home, glad you're alive' would be nice, but I can wait," he replied, crossing his arms.
Ianto frowned walking over to Jack kissing his ceek before nursing his jaw glaring at the doctor.
"Fuck off, Jones", hissed Owen, pulling himself to his feet, before saying automatically, "Hi Jack, welcome home, glad you're alive", his glare settled on Ianto, not opening up in front of him.
Ianto frowned softly and moved leaving the office standing outside to let them get on with it.
Jack glanced out the direction Ianto went and back at Owen, before throwing his hands up in the air. "Fine, whatever, I'll come back after you lot settle down from your testosterone parade," he grumbled, heading back toward the exit.
"Jack", Owen caught his hand to stop him part way across.
Jack stopped, turning back to look at Owen, his expression hurt and tired. "I'm sorry, Owen. It's just been a lot, and I didn't think I was going to come back to this."
Owen moved in, pulling him down for a deep kiss, before pulling back. "I missed you", he revealed quietly, before looking at him again, "After all that shit he gave me....it just pissed me off"
Jack kissed him back happily, releasing a little of the tension that had built up since the Earth had first been stolen. "I missed you too," he murmured. "And I know. I just...can't deal with all of it right now. I'm tired, Owen, and I just want you all here with me."
"Alright", Owen said quietly, his eyes automatically scanning Jack's body for injury.
Jack chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm alright, Owen. No injuries here. It all heals up when I die, remember?"
Owen frowned. "You died?"
"Twice," Jack replied, shrugging. "Once I got exterminated, and then I woke up and the Daleks put my body in the incinerator, thinking I was still dead."
"Ouch", Owen pulled a face, "Fucking Daleks. Hope you blew 'em up good"
"Not me," Jack corrected, smiling sadly. "Donna saved us all, with the help of a Doctor clone, of sorts. She doesn't remember any of it now though, and you can't tell her anything related to it, or it'll kill her," he sighed.
"A....clone", repeated Owen, "Fucking clones. Right, no telling Donna nothing then"
Jack laughed. "Yeah, a clone. He formed out of that hand I'd saved, weird time lord stuff. Actually, Donna probably won't even remember you, or me. The Doctor wiped her mind, everything she'd ever done with him."
Ianto moved standing in the doorway and listening silently.
"Well, that fucking sucks", said Owen, frowning, "I liked her. She was alright"
"Yeah, it does. And she was better than alright," Jack replied, a flash of regret in his eyes. He caught Ianto's movement out of the corner of his eye and glanced over. "Calmed down yet, Ianto?"
Ianto shrugged and nodded the bruise on his jaw swelling up.
Owen shoved his hands in his pockets, taking a deep breath before shrugging. "I'll get you summat for your jaw"
Ianto shook his head. "Doesn’t matter." He replied looking at Jack and then his stomach questioningly.
"Thank you, Owen," Jack replied, nodding. "And don't be stupid, of course it matters. Just bring it back and I'll take care of it. Please let everyone else know I'm here, too." He noticed Ianto's glance at his stomach, and shrugged, his walls rebuilding as Ianto hadn't actually said a word about him yet. "Baby's alright. Death didn't phase it in the Predator world, that seems to be the case all the time."
Owen nodded quietly, slipping back into the Hub to get to his beloved Pit.
Ianto nodded before walking over wth an upset frown wrapping his arm around him tightly.
Jack relaxed a little into the hug, returning it just as tightly. "I'm glad you're alright, Ianto," he murmured softly.
"He smiled sadly. I thought I'd never see you again."
"Don't you know by now? There's no getting rid of me," Jack chuckled, stroking the side of his face gently. "I'll always come back for you, Ianto."
"No...I thought I'd be dead before you got back. "
"I wasn't sure Tosh's defence program would work, myself," Jack replied, nodding. "Daleks are damn clever. But I'm so glad it did. I couldn't handle losing anyone else, especially not you."
He smiled, "You could've told us...we thought we were gonners."
"Yeah, well, I'm just a bastard like that," Jack replied, winking. "Seriously though, I didn't want to get everyone's hopes up with a program that might not have worked at all."
"And if it hadn't..." He asked softly.
Jack glanced down, his eyes pained. "Can we not talk about the what ifs? I just want to be happy that we're both here, and alive..."
Owen cleared his throat, a cold compress in his hand from where he stood by the entrance into the Hub proper, shifting a little awkwardly for interrupting the tender moment
He nodded kissing him with a wince at his swollen lip before pulling away and looking at Owen as he stepped away.
Jack kissed him back gently, sighing and taking the compress from Owen. "Thank you," he murmured quietly, before placing it against Ianto's bruise.
"Yeah....you're welcome", Owen shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets again.
Ianto tilted his jaw for him his fingers lacing over Jack's as he held him there leaning back against him.
Jack nodded to Owen, smiling a little as Ianto laced their fingers. He took care of Ianto's injury gently, his gaze distant as he did so. "How are Doyle and Jack, Owen, are they alright?"
"They're fine", said Owen, narrowing his eyes a little at the other Captain's name, "Doyle's not doing good with the visions, but other than that....everyone's okay"
Ianto pulled his head away. "Jack’s here." He replied softly before taking the compress from him and walking outside “Jack?"
"That's good to hear," Jack replied, nodding. "We'll find a way to help Doyle, I promise," he added, before sighing a bit and finding a chair to rest in when Ianto walked away.
Owen watched him in silent worry as Harkness lifted his head. "You two finished trying to kill each other now?"
Ianto nodded leading him back in.
"Hey," Jack greeted the Captain, smiling a little again from his chair. "Sorry about the whole knocking you out thing, I knew you wouldn't go otherwise."
"No, I wouldn't", he replied, folding his arms and watching him, "I'm fully capable of fighting, Jack"
Ianto frowned sitting on the edge of Jack's seat
"I know," Jack sighed, wishing that someone besides Owen would show a little concern for him. "But so am I, and the Daleks have killed me twice now. Besides, I needed you to watch out for Owen and Doyle."
"Oi, I can look after myself", grumbled Owen from the corner. Harkness watched him quietly, "....They killed you?"
Ianto threaded his fingers through the older man's hair silently.
Jack chuckled, before shrugging. "Twice. Exterminated me once, and then dumped my body in the incinerator after I woke up," he replied, appreciating the touch.
"You burned?", Harkness whispered softly, "...Are you alright?"
Ianto moved his head kissing the top of Jack's crown.
Jack smiled at the kiss, and nodded. "As alright as I can be after all that. Just...tired, mostly, and sad, and pissed as all hell at the Doctor, and so very glad to see all of you alive," he said quietly.
Ianto smiled against his scalp his fingers dutifully rubbing the nape of Jack's neck soothingly doting on him.
"Why, what the hell did he do this time?", asked Owen, frowning.
"The Doctor?", asked Harkness, glancing at Owen, then back at Jack, confused, "Isn't HE the doctor?"
Jack shook his head. "No no, The Doctor. That's his name. I used to travel with him. He...Rose was here, Owen. She was finally, really here, but he dumped her back off in her parallel world and LEFT her there with his clone. I can't see her again, Owen, I can't..." he trailed off, refusing to talk until the lump in his throat went away.
Ianto sighed rubbing his back soothingly kissing the time agent's temple murmuring gently in his ear.
"Oh....Jack, Mate, I'm sorry", Owen said quietly, dropping his gaze.
"Me too," Jack replied, taking a deep breath, letting Ianto calm him. "Harriet Jones is gone too," he told Owen sadly. "She sacrificed herself to help us communicate with the Doctor."
Ianto nodded, "We saw it."
"Wot? Mrs 'My ID, let me show it you'?", asked Owen, "Well, bugger, I liked her"
Jack smiled. "Yeah. Even the Daleks knew who she was," he chuckled. "I can't believe we didn't lose more of the companions, considering. I don't know how many others the Daleks destroyed...but we can deal with all that later. First, I need sleep. I can't even remember the last time I got any."
Ianto nodded, "Come on I'll take you home." He whispered "And make you waffles if you want."
"Sleep would be a good idea", frowned Owen, "Even if my sleep lecture doesn't work in end of the world scenarios"
"No, it doesn't," Jack agreed. "You should get some rest yourself, Owen, I doubt you've slept a wink this whole time. Take Doyle with you. And you can come home with us if you'd like, Jack," he added, smiling up at him.
Ianto smiled, "Well considering he lives with us Jack..." He teased
Harkness ducked his head and blushed. "Thank you". Owen nodded with a sigh. "Yeah, gonna give Doyle a bunch of pain killers, poor bloke needs 'em"
Ianto nodded standing up and offering Jack his hand.
Jack rolled his eyes. "You know what I meant. And he does. We will find a better way to help him, Owen. I'll start working on it as soon as my brain gets functioning again. ...Oh! I almost forgot. Mickey's here, he's joined our world again and wants to work for our version of Torchwood. I'm gonna text him to let him to let him know we're going home, I offered him my bed in the Hub to crash in for the night," he chuckled, before taking Ianto's hand.
Owen arched a brow. "Ain't he that one that shouts about being a tin dog all the time?", he considered, then smirked, "This...will be fun"
"He's also gay as gay can be, in denial, and a fan of big guns and tech-stuff," Jack replied, grinning.
Ianto blinked, "Oh were you thinking of him working at Tosh's station?"
Owen's face fell at Ianto's words, looking away.
Ianto looked at Owen sadly.
Jack shook his head. "Why would he do that? Tosh is still working at Tosh's station, even if she is only computerized," he replied, smiling at Owen reassuringly. No one could ever take Tosh's place.
"Yeah", said Owen quietly, a rare moment of weakness as his voice broke a little, "Right...home then"
Jack sighed, before standing up and hugging Owen tightly. "Sleep well, Owen," he murmured.
Ianto nodded at him before pulling one Jack and holding his hand out for the other's.
Owen hugged him back, before nodding, scuffing the floor with his trainers as he wandered outside. Harkness smiled, moving to take Ianto's hand, squeezing it gently.
Ianto moved his head kissing him gently before pulling them outside heading to the car.
Jack watched the interaction before following them both, leaning against the Captain when they got in, soaking up his comforting warmth.
Ianto started up the car and drove through the Cardiff streets heading home.
