I think that apathy can be a good thing in certain situations. Apathetic people are indifferent, and are more able to look at things objectively; they are just less likely to look at all. But when I look at things like politics, movies like Farenheit 911, religion, and other emotionally charged topics, I am reminded that the passionate often believe in their cause so much that they believe the end justifies the means when converting people to their point of view. It's no tthat they are trying to deceive with malicious intent. They are simply trying to make convincing easier.
What I mean is that these passionate people are willing to deceive for what they TRULY believe is the greater good. They believe that any truth-bending is a small sacrifice for improving the lives of those of us who do not share their opinion about whatever topic they are passionate about.
But the Apathetics. They don't care. They don't try to convince us of anything. They look more at the means, and don't justify lies with supposed enlightened intentions. They just don't care.
